Planning your Genting Highlands trip🎡😆

Helloo 🍋! We’re finally back with more reviews of our experiences and in this post we will bring u thru our 4D3N Genting Trips so you know what to expect☺️ Honestly this trip was not very packed as it was more of an R&R trip so sorry if there was not much activities recommendations >< so without further ado let’s get started🥳

🚌Transtar Z-Club (Executive)

For our Mode of transportation, we chose bus, specifically Transtar Z-Club which costs S$137 for return trip; the cost includes insurance for the bus trip! We booked the ticket from the official website(Transtar.travel) as we don’t rlly trust third parties website😅 You can expect around 7-8hrs of travelling time using bus, with arnd 3 rest stops of ~10mins duration in between the journey! Here are some points to note if you’re interested:

1. For Transtar, There are lots of pickup areas available which is pretty convenient even if you don’t live near the JB customs! For us, we chose Departure pickup at Compass One and our Arrival drop-off at Jurong East since my bf and I live near those areas!

2. For this specific bus we took, they also provide a meal(shown in 2nd slide!) arnd 1-2hrs into the journey with some light snacks and drinks! Honestly it tastes pretty decent so do save some tummy space before boarding the bus😋

3. They also have in-bus entertainments and wifi but don’t expect too much as the entertainments are pretty old/outdated..

4. The seats are pretty spacious and comes with massaging function(feels like vibrations only😔). Definitely worth the upgrade since you’ll be in it for 7-8hrs😵 One downside is that the seatbelts will be stuck tightly which is quite uncomfortable as someone who easily gets motion sickness🤢

5. They also provide a bottle of mineral water at your seats so there’s no need to bring water bottle💧

6. There are quite a few notes on the website about what time to reach which was abit confusing at first, but our recommendation is that 30mins would be more than enough! Our departure was 5.30am but tbh the bus only rched arnd 5.20am😅(they still left arnd 5.30am so alls gd!) and our bus back was 1pm which the bus arrived earlier at 12.30+pm! Fyi for the bus back, you have to check-in earlier at the transtar counter which was right at the Genting bus terminal!

All in all, rlly recommend this bus and tbh we got to peek at the solitaire Transtar bus and we wouldn’t mind paying more to upgrade to it as it looked so premium🤤

🏨Genting Skyworlds Hotel

For our hotel accommodation, we chose Genting Skyworlds Hotel as my bf stayed thr previously and felt that it was nubbad😙 We booked the Kings room thru Booking.com at S$360 for 3 nights which is arnd S$60/pax/night! However this cost doesn’t includes the tax so we still had to pay an extra 39RM upon check in(forgot how they calculated it) At first we wanted to check in early since we reached at 1pm and the check in time was 3pm, but there was no room available till arnd 2pm🥲 so we requested them to help store our luggages(free) instead while we explore the mall😙 The hotel was super big in general so we were quite suey that our room was in the other block(arnd 3mins walk?😵) but the room was rlly spacious and cozy as shown in slide 3!^ There was no air-con but it was pretty cooling alr because of the temperature in Genting☁️ their bfast buffet comes at additional cost which we didn’t get because we wanted to try other foods in Genting and we wanna sleep in HAHA overall it was a pretty decent hotel😌 There are many hotels in the mall actually so do look thru them and choose based on your own preference! One exclusive benefit this hotel can provide is that there’s an entrance to the outdoor theme park near the hotel solely for this hotel’s guests so more convenience but that’s about it HAHA

📝4D3N Itinerary | 🥘Foods

Day 1️⃣:

As mentioned we reached around 1pm so we spent our time walking thru the SkyAvenue and playing some arcade games hehe there’s lots of arcades here so take your time to look thru first before jumping right in😳 Our cravings decided to kick in so we just ate at Din Tai Fung which nvr disappoints~ fyi the XLB here only serves in 10pcs so if you’re eating solo and nt a big eater…😅Afterwards, we took the cable car(19RM/pax for 2way ticket) to Genting Highland Premium Outlets arnd 6 and the queue is super crazy😖 we probs queued for arnd 30mins++ so pls don’t be like us and go in the morn/afternoon instead!! Rlly loved the vibes at the premium outlet as it feels like western streets instead of msia😆 both of us managed to get smth since it’s cheaper than sg so defo do check it out! We didn’t rlly see any food we like there so we just grabbed a 5RM butter corn and head back to SkyAvenue’s CU Mart for some convenience store spree😋

Day 2️⃣:

We set aside this day for the Outdoor Theme Park which we will elaborate more in our next post for some tips and things we learnt there😌 for our breakfast, we also ate it inside the theme park as the food were pretty decently priced and look super yummy😋 most of the rides stop at 6pm so we left arnd that timing and ate at Mr Dakgalbi (Shown in Slide 5) and it tastes so good🤤 it’s popular for their Korean Dakgalbi(stir-fried chicken) and we got the Rose Dakgalbi which tastes similar to the rose buldak but mb slightly sweeter! Tbh the serving was abit too big for us so would rlly recommend this for 3-4pax friend groups! Our meal costed around 90+RM which is pretty good for the serving size(they have svc charge and gst😔) They also offer individually served food if sharing is not ur thing🤪

Day 3️⃣:

We started the day with some convenience store food again(GOATED) and went for the Indoor Theme Park which starts at 11am~ We rlly recommend to get the day pass instead of individual rides because compared to the outdoor theme parks, the rides here don’t have much waiting time(10mins max? We went on a Mon but Shldnt be much diff!) but they have just the right amount of adrenaline so it’s very easy to make your money worth with just a few rides of this~ what more you can always decide to walk around the mall or eat first if you’re tired of it and come back for a round 2😊 one of our fav ride was literally the bumper car as it moves quite fast and is easy to turn which feels like a mini gokart HAHA both of us agreed that we had more fun with the indoor theme park than the outdoor theme park as there was too much waiting🙂‍↔️ For lunch, we had Taiko Ramen(Shown in Slide 6) which feels like a msian takagi ramen as it’s cheap and nice! We got their ramen combo for 60RM which consists of 2 ramen, 2 soft drinks, and 3pcs of gyoza! For dinner, we ate Zok Noodles(didn’t managed to get a pic😭) which are famous for their wanton noodles! All of their noodles are homemade so rlly recommend this for noodles lover😍

Day 4️⃣:

We didn’t managed to do anything as our bus pickup time was 1pm🥲 but we did managed to have a breakfast at Beena’s Signature which had many varieties of food! The food was nice and affordable; every meal comes with free drinks that are choosable!

Overall we had lots of fun during this 4D3N trips; honestly we spent a lot of time just walking around and chilling since we didn’t go to the casino or zouk😬 defo a good place for R&R since the weather and environment makes you feel like you’re not js in msia BAHAHA hope this helped in your planning for Genting and let us know if you have any questions about it too☺️

... Read moreWhen planning your Genting Highlands getaway, considering transportation options beyond the bus can make your trip smoother. For example, van services and private transfers offer more flexible pick-up locations and shorter travel times if you're looking to avoid the long bus journey from Singapore. If you're aiming for an itinerary packed with adventure, consider extending your stay or combining your trip with nearby attractions such as Kuala Lumpur or the Cameron Highlands. Many travelers enjoy integrating theme park days with visits to local markets and cultural spots for a richer experience. Booking your hotel room early is key, especially if you want exclusive perks like direct access to the outdoor theme park offered by Genting Skyworlds Hotel. Don't overlook checking out other hotel options within the resort to find the best prices and amenities tailored to your needs. Since wifi connectivity can be spotty on buses like Transtar, downloading offline maps and entertainment beforehand is a good idea. Also, exploring meal options in the hotel and around SkyAvenue ensures you enjoy a variety of local and international cuisines beyond the usual spots. Lastly, if you're traveling with friends or family, consider purchasing bundled day passes for indoor and outdoor theme parks to maximize your fun and save on costs. Planning ahead helps you minimize wait times and enjoy smoother access to popular rides. These additional tips helped me get the most out of my Genting trip, and I hope they make your planning easier and your visit more memorable too!
