It’s such a relaxing way to capture those summer vibes, even if you're not at the beach! If you're looking for simple beach drawing ideas, the key is to break things down into basic shapes. Don't feel pressured to create a masterpiece; these are doodles to enjoy! For example, when I drew my 'Seashell Tile' and 'Seashell Collage' pieces, I started with just the basic outline of different shells – think conch, scallop, or even a simple spiral. Then, I added details like tiny ridges or a hint of shadow to make them pop. Experiment with different angles and sizes for a dynamic 'seashell collage'! It’s all about having fun and letting your creativity flow. Another fantastic subject for easy beach art is palm trees. They might look complex, but you can simplify them beautifully. Start with a curved line for the trunk, then add a few swooshes for the fronds. You can practice drawing them from different perspectives, like my 'Blue Palm Trees' drawing. Adding a soft wash of blue or green watercolor can make them look super aesthetic. Don't forget the ocean itself! Drawing a 'Blue Beach' scene doesn't have to be complicated. Simple wavy lines for the water, a few dots for sand, and maybe a tiny sun or a beach umbrella can instantly set the scene. You can also sketch out fun beach accessories like a 'Blue Bikini' hanging to dry, or vibrant 'Hibiscus Study' flowers you might see blooming by the shore. These small elements add so much personality to your sketchbook. To make your beach doodles truly aesthetic, consider using a limited color palette. I often stick to blues, greens, sandy yellows, and a pop of pink or coral. This creates a cohesive and pleasing look throughout your 'sketchbook.'
