Outfits I’ve Worn as a Waitress this Summer!

There’s no dress code at my work (we used to have shirts-it’s in 2 of the pictures). It’s a bit stressful sometimes because I have to pick out my own outfits that will look cute as well as be functional and appropriate.

That being said, I really do enjoy taking time and putting together something that I feel cute in, and let’s be honest, sometimes tips are better when you look more put-together. The last one ended up getting me the most compliments!

Consider lightweight fabrics that breathe well, allowing you to stay comfortable during busy shifts. Flowy dresses or tailored shorts paired with stylish tops not only provide freedom of movement but also create a polished look. In addition to choosing the right outfit, accessories can add a personal touch. A statement necklace or trendy earrings can elevate a simple look while being mindful of your workplace's atmosphere. It's essential to pick items that fit the restaurant's vibe—while maintaining your individuality. Also, selecting shoes that are both fashionable and comfortable is crucial, as you'll be on your feet throughout your shift. Don't forget to embrace colors and patterns that reflect the summer season! Floral prints and pastel shades can create a lighthearted and fresh feel, which might even boost your mood at work. Remember, the more comfortable and confident you feel in your appearance, the more likely it is that customers will respond positively, potentially enhancing your tips. Lastly, sharing your favorite looks and style tips on platforms like Lemon8 can foster a sense of community among fellow waitstaff.
