HOW I PLAN TO PAY OFF $61K IN DEBT

We’re currently working on paying off $61,117 of debt 💳

We’ve already slashed our budget as much as possible so now the focus is increasing income and staying consistent.

We’re using a mix of Debt Avalanche and extra side income (creator fund, product sales, and digital tools) to knock it down. It’s not fast, but it’s happening.

If you’re paying off debt too, I’ll be posting real numbers, tips that actually help, and what’s working (and what’s not) as we go.

... Read morePaying off a significant amount of debt like $61,117 requires a disciplined approach that balances budget control with increased income. The Debt Avalanche method, which prioritizes paying off debts with the highest interest rates first, is an effective strategy that minimizes the total interest paid over time, accelerating debt freedom. This approach differs from the Debt Snowball method, which pays off debts from smallest to largest balance but may accrue more interest overall. In addition to strict budgeting, diversifying income streams can greatly enhance debt repayment speed. For example, leveraging side hustles such as participating in a creator fund (like TikTok's), selling personalized products, or offering digital tools can provide steady supplemental income without requiring full-time commitment. It's important to track all income sources and allocate extra earnings directly toward high-interest debts. Consistency remains key during the repayment journey. Creating detailed and personalized budgets helps manage expenses and ensures funds are available for debt payments. Budget templates are valuable tools for maintaining this discipline. Regularly reviewing financial progress and adjusting strategies can help overcome plateaus. Understanding loan details, such as interest rates and minimum payments, enables better prioritization. While it's tempting to make minimum payments on lower-interest loans, focusing on high-interest debt first reduces overall financial burden. Combining this with incremental income efforts, such as selling laundry-related products or niche items like car charms, provides practical methods to supplement a full-time job income. Sharing real-time updates and actionable tips in a community setting can boost motivation and accountability. Whether through social media hashtags or debt-focused forums, connecting with others on a similar path fosters support and the exchange of effective financial tactics. This holistic approach maximizes the potential for consistent progress and eventual debt freedom.
