Day in my life as a study abroad student!

Here’s a glimpse into my day as a study abroad student at Trinity College Dublin! I’ve honestly been so lucky to have more sunny days than rainy ones recently. The sunshine never fails to make my day ☀️🫶🏼🌈

Studying abroad at Trinity College Dublin has been such an incredible journey, and while my 'day in the life' gives a snapshot, there's so much more to the student life in Dublin experience! I wanted to share a few extra thoughts for anyone dreaming of this adventure, particularly focusing on what makes campus life here so unique. Beyond just classes and homework, Trinity College Dublin campus life truly feels like stepping into history. The campus itself is stunning, with those beautiful green fields and historic buildings you see in photos. I often find myself taking a moment to just soak it all in. The academic side is rigorous but rewarding; those lecture halls might look serious, but the discussions are always engaging. Finding a quiet spot in the library or a cozy cafe on campus to do some work with my laptop and a trusty Coke Zero has become part of my routine. It's really easy to get lost in your studies in such an inspiring environment. When it comes to staying active, the Sports Centre is a lifesaver! It's got everything you need to blow off steam or keep up your fitness routine, from treadmills to weight racks. And for daily essentials, having a TESCO express nearby is super convenient for grabbing groceries or a quick snack. Learning to cook simple, delicious meals like my favorite breakfast bowl (oatmeal with berries and peanut butter, of course!) has been a fun part of independent living, and it definitely saves money compared to eating out all the time. But student life in Dublin isn't just about academics and errands. The city itself is your playground! I've made some amazing friends here, and we love exploring. Whether it's finding new pubs with live music, checking out local markets, or just enjoying a sunny walk through the city, there's always something to do. Joining student societies is definitely the easiest way to meet people who share your interests – from hiking clubs to academic societies, TCD has it all. I’ve found that being open to these opportunities really enriches your time here, making the city feel like home. My biggest tip for anyone considering study abroad here? Embrace every sunny day, and even the rainy ones! Dublin has a unique charm, and being open to new experiences, whether it's trying a new local dish or joining an impromptu gathering with friends for dinner & drinks, will make your time unforgettable. It's a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience that truly shapes you. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and explore all that Dublin city student life has to offer!
