Pole dance at home

Hey Everyone!

A lot of people are asking about where to get an at home pole so I will discuss where to look and get one. I will also include my opinion about each!

1st Photo:

This is a powder coated stage pole from Xpole US. This pole is good if you like to travel and pole in many different areas. I’ve poled at beaches, parks, backyards etc lol. Also if your home has really high ceilings this may be a better option for you, but it does take up alot of space. This pole option is a little costly but they do have payment plans that you can arrange. They take up and take down is pretty easy as well! It also has static and spin mode.

This is a regular chrome pole that is more on the affordable side. I recommend starting here and getting one off of Amazon. (PLEASE READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!) The reason why I feel you should start off with a pole from Amazon is that way you can build up your skill, discipline, and consistency when it comes to pole dancing without having to invest too much money. You want to know if this is something that you actually want to do before you pay a big price for something you don’t even use. Once you start getting better and better that’s when I feel you should invest in a better pole. Reason being, you guys ever seen those videos of the girls that’s on the pole and then it falls!? Once you become more advanced and start doing a lot of tricks the pole from Amazon is more susceptible to shifting or falling and we don’t want that!

Fit 2 Flaunt poles is what I recommend if you’re willing to pay a little extra money for the better quality when starting off. I’ve heard great things about their poles but I never had one so I can’t really speak from experience. But these poles don’t move from its place as often as the ones on Amazon. They also have different options to choose from for the finishes of the pole. They have chrome and silicone finishes. I recommend silicone if you sweat easily and have oily skin. But I must warn you, it is very painful! Pole hurts regardless of the finish but silicone is not one to be played with lol. I recommend chrome for everyone else who doesn’t sweat or have as much oily skin.

This is the pole that I currently have and it has a powder finish. I recommend powder for the girlies who are in between. Sweaty but not so sweaty at the same time lol. Powder coat makes it easier for me to stick to the pole. This pole is more on the expensive side but I love it and feel that it is very worth having. This would be great to have once you become more confident in your journey! I have the sites link in my bio! They have many finishes to choose from and other aerial sport products .

If you guys have any question please feel free to ask! I’m an open book and there’s no gate keeping over here! 🫶🏽

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on my last post about choosing the right pole for home, I wanted to dive deeper into some specific aspects that many of you are asking about, especially regarding getting started with pole fitness at home and the ins and outs of different pole types. First, let's talk more about freestanding dance poles and portable pole dance stages. My Xpole stage pole, as you saw in the photos (like the one with me outside!), is a fantastic example. What I love about these is the ultimate flexibility. If you're like me and love the idea of dancing at home fitness but also want to take your practice outdoors or to a friend's place, a stage pole is a game-changer. They don't require ceiling attachments, meaning no worries about ceiling height or type. You can set them up in your backyard, a park, or even a studio without permanent fixtures. The display of 'various silver components for a portable dance pole kit' in the OCR really highlights how these systems are designed for easy assembly and disassembly, making them perfect for on-the-go practice. While they do take up more floor space, the freedom they offer for dynamic moves and even 'inverted pole dance' moves is incredible. For those curious about professional dance pole installation or simply ensuring safety when setting up your own, it’s crucial. Even for tension poles that extend from 'floor to ceiling' (as seen in the OCR for a bedroom setup), proper installation is key. Always read the manufacturer's instructions thoroughly. Ensure your ceiling joists are strong enough if it's a tension-mounted pole. For a stage pole, make sure the surface you're setting it on is level and stable. A wobbly pole is a dangerous pole! I always double-check all connections and make sure the pole feels secure before I even think about starting my workout. Safety first, always! Now, if you're just getting into pole fitness at home, beyond the pole itself, consider creating a safe practice space. Clear out any obstacles, and maybe even invest in a crash mat, especially as you start attempting more challenging moves or variations like a 'handstand pole dance' (though that's definitely an advanced one!). Don't forget your grip aid – it's a lifesaver, especially if you have sweaty hands like me! Building a consistent routine is what truly helps you progress in pole dance for home. Start with basic spins and climbs, focusing on technique and building strength. There are tons of online tutorials for beginners that can guide you through warm-ups and cool-downs, which are essential for preventing injuries. Remember, whether you choose an X-Pole dance pole, a Fit 2 Flaunt pole, or start with a reliable adjustable pole, the journey is about enjoying your strength and expression. Happy poling at home!
