... Read moreWe've all been there: the argument ends, the air is thick with tension, and you're staring at your phone, wondering, "What do I even text him after a fight?" It's a tricky spot, because you want to start a conversation after a fight over text that actually helps you make up after a fight over text, not make things worse. I used to agonize over every word, often making the mistake of waiting too long or saying too little. But over time, I've learned that the right message, sent at the right time, can be incredibly powerful in bridging the gap.
It's not about winning; it's truly about understanding each other better, as my favorite relationship gurus often say. The key is to convey your desire for connection and understanding. I found that simply saying "I hate that we hurt each other, I want to understand you better" can open the door immediately. It shows empathy and a willingness to listen, which is so crucial. Another powerful one I've personally used is, "Your feelings matter to me, let's work thru this." This validates his emotions and signals that you're a team, even when things are tough. It helps create that deeper connection we all crave.
Taking responsibility, even for your part, is a game-changer. I remember one time, after a particularly heated discussion, I sent a text saying, "I've had time to think. I see how I contributed." It wasn't about admitting I was entirely wrong, but acknowledging my role, which immediately softened his stance. Sometimes, after a fight, the best thing is to suggest a face-to-face chat. Texts like, "Let's take a walk and talk, no distractions just us," are perfect for this. They hint at reconciliation without putting pressure on an immediate response, allowing you to move from texting to genuine conversation.
Vulnerability can feel scary, but it's incredibly effective. I learned to share my true feelings underneath the anger instead of just reacting. Messages like, "Can I tell you what I was really feeling underneath the anger?" or "I still love you, even when we are not at our best," show a raw honesty that strengthens bonds. It reminds him that despite the disagreement, your love is still there. These are the 8 TEXTS TO RECONNECT AFTER A FIGHT that truly saved my relationships.
Finally, approaching the conversation with calm energy is paramount. If you're both still fuming, it's probably not the right time to dive into deep texts. But once you've both had a moment, a message such as, "Can we pause and talk about what happened with calm energy?" sets a constructive tone. And always, always ask, "How can I love you better right now?" It demonstrates that your focus is on his well-being and the relationship's health, making him feel valued and needed. Remember, men are often wired to pursue and protect, and when you make them feel needed and valued, you inspire them to step up and commit to building that lasting relationship. These texts aren't just words; they're bridges to a deeper, more resilient connection.
The intention behind this post is great, but IMO these questions are still masculine energy dressed up in a feminine energy costume. And you will attract a feminine-type man following this advice. Which.. is not bad in itself! .. and especially if that’s what you’re looking for, then this is the perfect advice. But if you’re trying to attract a masculine man that will be the leader when it comes to emotionally charged conversations, you have to allow a man to go through trials and tribulations in YOUR life. He’s coming into your world, and living in it.. how is he going to show up? Anyways, Men don’t need all of this reassurance—it’s giving mother 👧👶🏻 (not mommy 🔥). He should be the one reconnecting with you after a fight, you should be open to him of course and receptive.. even flirty and a bit spicy 🔥😝… but you’re still not the one initiating. He is. Even if it was something he did. Lol! He can take care of his feelings and develop the consciousness enough to know when the two of you are upset and experiencing a rupture. Mmm.. Even if it was YOU who did something. Lollll. HE should still come to you. And when he does.. you just be cute 🥺🌸💅.. Like hi we fought. If he’s the man that wants to be in your life.. He’s not gonna risk losing u. So he will always be there for you even when things get emotionally harder in life. But if you’re the glue in these kinds of conflicts … ok. But what happens when life hits and you’re no longer able to always be the one initiating… will he be the one who who will lead you when your emotional capacity is way lower than his?? Will he take care of u?? This is what you do in the courting phase of the relationship… you lean back and see if he’s capable of this kind of thing. It’s soooo important. Because women will always show up more emotionally than men. So you have to test him. To see if he will be good at it. It’s for your own future self’s sake. Anyways, my unsolicited two cents. 💝💰
I’m torn me Abe my bf had the worse fight. I was trying to please him sexually and things didn’t go as planned in the end he felt uncomfortable…. He remember things happening different than I do and although I’m not saying what he is saying isn’t true I apologized but I still stand firm on believing my memory as well but trying not to take away his feelings you know but he wants me to own up to his memory and apologize for something I don’t recall…. In the end I apologized the way he wanted but he still was upset became verbally disrespectful that I refused to talk to him and answer the phone due to not wanting to be pulled into a battle of disrespect…. He says I messed up and I don’t get to choose how we communicate. But am I suppose to sit in the phone and feel attacked when I know I didn’t intentionally try to hurt him and even after I apologized because I don’t remember things the way he do he is not happy with the apology??? What do I do I need help anybody I ended up just calling a break up but I really want to know if this is right should I try to reconnect?
