Motherhood & grieving

My first year of motherhood and first year of grieving was much more than I could have ever prepared for. Bringing my son into a world without his daddy was the toughest journey I’ve ever had to endure. I still cry, I still struggle, I still get knocked down, but I always find a way to pick myself up. One thing about mothers, we’ll find a way to pour from an empty cup.

Without motherhood, I would never have never known the true meaning of sacrifice and selflessness. The lengths a mother will go to ensure their child’s safety and happiness are unmeasurable. This type of bond is beyond explanation.

To all mommas everywhere, Happy Mother’s Day!💐 Please remember, the number one factor in a child’s success is the happiness of their mother. Take care of yourselves! No matter what your story is, just know I’m rooting for you 🫶🏼

P.s the pictures showcase some of the ways we incorporate daddy in our photos and our memories R.I.H Daddy, we won’t let you down ❤️

... Read moreThe journey of motherhood combined with grief presents unique challenges. Mothers often experience a profound transformation, gaining insights into sacrifice, resilience, and selflessness. For many, integrating cherished memories of lost loved ones into everyday life can help in healing. Incorporating special keepsakes in photos or maintaining traditions fosters a sense of connection to those who have passed. Additionally, creating a supportive community, whether through online forums or local groups, allows mothers to share their stories and find strength in shared experiences. Remember, focusing on self-care and emotional well-being not only benefits mothers but also contributes positively to their children’s lives. It's essential to embrace the ups and downs, knowing that every moment embodies love and remembrance. Through these experiences, we build a legacy of strength for our children and ourselves. Let this blend of honor and healing guide us through the challenging yet beautiful journey of motherhood.
