Lago Atitlán, Parte 1

Después de bajar de Lake Atitlán , llegamos directo a Panajachel y nos hospedamos en el Hotel Regis: cómodo, céntrico y con un tesoro inesperado… su spa con temazcal privado y jacuzzis de aguas termales. Perfecto para recuperarnos del volcán.

Caminamos por la calle Santander, llena de artesanías, textiles, aromas y colores. Desde ahí partimos en una lancha privada para recorrer los pueblos del lago (aunque también hay lanchas-taxi muy accesibles si vas en modo más local).

San Antonio Palopó, un pueblo auténtico y sereno. Visitamos Xocolatl, donde presenciamos el proceso artesanal del cacao, y una tienda de cerámica tradicional.

Nos enamoramos de Casa Palopó, un hotel boutique lleno de magia. Las vistas desde su terraza, la privacidad, el servicio impecable y la comida de Kinnik fueron simplemente exquisitas.

En Santa Catarina Palopó, las fachadas azules que parecen textiles. Es un pueblo que late entre murales, tejidos, callecitas tranquilas y tiendas artesanales.

También hicimos una parada en San Lucas Tolimán, un pueblo más local y menos turístico, no subí foto.
