Having visited Destin, Florida several times, I can personally recommend it as a top beach destination in the Gulf Coast region. One hidden gem I found on my trip was Paradise Cottage in Crestview, just a short drive from Destin’s white sandy beaches. This quaint accommodation offers a cozy retreat with homey comforts, making it ideal for travelers seeking peace away from the busier beach crowds. Destin itself is famed for its emerald green waters and sugar-white sand, attracting families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Fishing enthusiasts will find the 'World’s Luckiest Fishing Village' nickname fitting, as Destin boasts some of the best deep-sea fishing opportunities. During my stays, I enjoyed fresh seafood from local restaurants, which adds to the authentic coastal experience. Beyond the beach and fishing, Destin offers a variety of activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and visiting nearby state parks. I found the local markets and shops perfect for picking up unique souvenirs or local crafts. The convenience of having peaceful cottages like Paradise Cottage nearby adds to the area's charm, providing a comfortable base while exploring. If you plan a trip, consider visiting in the shoulder seasons for fewer crowds and easier access to popular spots.
