PARIS TRAVEL GUIDE 🇫🇷

I am not going to lie, my first visit to Paris didn’t blow my mind. But, with that being said, all of these recs are either 10/10 recommended because I went and LOVED it, or are high on my list with good reviews for my next visit!

🏨 MY FAVORITE HOTELS

OFF Paris Seine is a unique houseboat on the Seine River (be sure to check out my full review on it on my profile). They also have an amazing suite with a yellow tub! It was a highlight of our trip to Paris.

🌼 PRETTY RESTAURANTS/CAFES

Each spot on the list meets my expectations for an aesthetic dining experience, Pink Mamma especially! Make a reservation, and take a camera.

👀 RECOMMENDED THINGS TO SEE/DO

Don’t miss out on Disneyland Paris. It was super unique seeing familiar attractions with a french twist!

🖼 WORTH-IT MUSEUMS

The Louvre is on here because it is worth seeing once in your life! The Mona Lisa lives here after all. Musée d’Orsay has a pretty clock with a view of the city through it!

Be sure to check out some of these London recommendations and share some of yours below! 👇🏼

... Read moreYou know, when I first planned my trip, I was obsessed with seeing the Eiffel Tower, just like everyone else. But sometimes, what you see in pictures or read in travel guides feels a bit like an 'urban dictionary' definition – everyone knows it, but what's the real vibe? I wanted to find out for myself, and let me tell you, there's so much more to it than just a pretty photo op. Forget the crowded daytime crush! My absolute best advice for the Eiffel Tower is to experience it at night. Picture this: a picnic with some wine and cheese on the Champs de Mars as the tower sparkles. It happens every hour on the hour for five minutes after sunset – pure magic! Don't rush to the top unless it's a must-do for you. Sometimes, the best view of the Eiffel Tower isn't from it. Head to Trocadéro for those iconic photos, or find a cozy spot along the Seine. I also discovered that booking tickets online way in advance is a game-changer; it saves you hours in lines, giving you more time for other adventures. And speaking of less touristy views, the rooftop terrace of Galeries Lafayette offers an incredible free panorama, where you can see the Eiffel Tower peeking out amongst the Parisian rooftops. Beyond the big iron lady, Paris has so many layers. While the article mentioned Musée d'Orsay (which I adore for its stunning clock view!), I also highly recommend exploring the charming streets of Le Marais. It’s packed with unique boutiques, hidden courtyards, and some of the best falafel you'll ever taste – a perfect contrast to the grandeur of places like the Palace of Versailles if you decide to take a day trip out. Speaking of unique stays, I heard amazing things about Hôtel du Continent, which the OCR images reminded me of. It’s got such a stylish, quirky vibe that really adds to the Parisian experience, making your stay feel less like a generic hotel and more like a curated adventure. For dining, while Pink Mamma is a must for its aesthetics, don't shy away from smaller, local bistros. I stumbled upon a tiny spot near my hotel with the most incredible croque monsieur – sometimes the best experiences are the unexpected ones. Another thing I learned is to embrace public transport. The Métro is super efficient and can get you almost anywhere, connecting you to all the major sights and those hidden corners. Getting a Navigo Découverte pass can save you a lot if you're staying for a week. And when it comes to museums, while the Louvre is colossal and a must-see for the Mona Lisa, don't forget about smaller, more intimate spots. The Rodin Museum, for instance, with its beautiful sculpture garden, offers a much more serene experience. It's a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle for an hour or two. I also loved just sitting at a café, people-watching. It feels so cliché, but it’s genuinely one of the best ways to feel the pulse of the city. Order a coffee, maybe a croissant, and just observe. You'll pick up on so much local life! My trip was truly transformed once I started looking past the 'postcard' version of Paris and sought out those authentic moments and less-talked-about spots. It's about creating your own Paris story, one memorable experience at a time. So, go ahead, explore, get lost, and find your own 'hidden gems' – that's the real magic of this incredible city.
