New Mexico has quietly been producing incredible wines for centuries. 🍷

In partnership with New Mexico Wine

Good wine, local food, live music, and mountain views? Count me in.

We spent the day at the New Mexico Wine Festival over Memorial Day weekend tasting wines from across the state, meeting local winemakers like rising-star winemaker Katie Hagan and learning why this underrated destination deserves a spot on every wine lover’s bucket list.

Festival tickets may be purchased in advance online, at the gate, or in person at the New Mexico Wine Studio. General admission tickets include a Viva Vino wine glass, unlimited wine tastings, and $5 off any bottle of wine purchase while VIP access includes entry to the exclusive shaded VIP tent featuring lounge seating, an air-conditioned restroom, bottled water, live music from 1 PM–4 PM, and a VIP-exclusive food vendor.

It’s such a great time and I can’t wait to head back in the future!

... Read moreAttending the New Mexico Wine Festival opened my eyes to a unique aspect of American wine culture that often flies under the radar. Known as one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the US, New Mexico combines a rich heritage with stunning natural scenery. The festival not only highlights a variety of excellent wines crafted by passionate, local winemakers such as Katie Hagan but also offers an immersive experience. Enjoying unlimited tastings in a festive atmosphere with live music and delicious local food made the event truly memorable. One of the standout features is the option to upgrade to VIP access, which provides a relaxing shaded tent, comfortable seating, and air-conditioned restroom facilities — a thoughtful touch that enhances the day, especially during warm Memorial Day weekends. The inclusion of a Viva Vino wine glass and discounts on bottle purchases adds tangible value. For anyone curious, yes, New Mexico indeed has a flourishing wine scene supported by centuries of viticulture. The festival is a perfect opportunity to explore this hidden gem, connect with winemakers, and savor wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. If you’re planning a trip or simply want to indulge in a delightful wine tasting experience away from more crowded venues, I highly recommend adding the New Mexico Wine Festival to your itinerary. It’s an enriching journey through regional flavors, culture, and hospitality that's ideal for both veterans and new enthusiasts of wine.
