Mamas I need your help!! My baby will be 2 July 18th and we are trying to get ahead and try to start potty training.. he knows what the potty is and he likes to flush the potty, but as far as him sitting and using the potty he throws a fit! 😩 #helpme

We waited until closer to 2.5 and it made a huge difference! We kept a little potty in the living room, let him watch us go (wild but effective lol), and gave zero pressure — just let him try when he wanted. Sticker charts and a treat jar helped once he was ready 🥹 you got this, mama!

put him on the potty before bath time, especially if he pees in the bath. like when you are getting him all naked anyway, just sit him up there and tell him he can get off when the tub is at the desired height so his reward is the bath. also set aside 5-10 minutes in his morning and night routine to sit on the toilet. doesnt even matter if he goes, youre just introducing the concept of sitting there to him. you can add a midday session as well or when you know he should “be ready” to pee/poop. you should have a vague idea of when he has wet diapers before starting this. like if its 30-45 minutes after he eats, make sure you put him on that potty before hes gunna just go.
