Mexican Michelada 🍺

This is my family’s recipe for micheladas, I know everyone makes it a little differently but this is how my family makes them!

From google:

“The name is thought to combine "chela" (slang for light beer), "helada" (cold), and "mi" ("my"). Often called a "Mexican Bloody Mary", it's similar in style but uses beer instead of vodka”

This is so yummy, I’m not a big fan of beer but I can down a michelada in minutes!!

Common ingredients include lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and various seasonings like Tajín or chamoy. To enhance the flavor, consider rimming your glass with salt and Tajín, and don’t forget to serve it chilled! For a unique experience, try adding Clamato – this blend of tomato and clam juice offers a robust taste that pairs beautifully with the beer. Experiment with different types of beer; light lagers tend to complement the flavors better. Lastly, remember that the key to a successful michelada is balance; adjust the ingredients based on your preference for heat and acidity. Enjoy your culinary adventure!
