หลายคนอาจเจอสะกดชื่อไม่เหมือนกันทั้ง “ถ้ำโม่เกา”, “ถ้ำม่อเกา” หรือ “ถ้ำมั่วเกา” แต่จริงๆ คือที่เดียวกันเลยค่ะ: Mogao Caves (莫高窟) มรดกโลก UNESCO ของเมืองตุนหวง จุดเด่นคือถ้ำที่เจาะเข้าไปในหน้าผา แล้วมีอาคารไม้หลายชั้นตั้งเรียงอยู่ด้านหน้า (เห็นของจริงคืออลังการมาก โดยเฉพาะวันที่ฟ้าใสๆ) ทริคส่วนตัวสำหรับการเที่ยวถ้ำโม่เกา ตุนหวงให้ไม่พลาด คือ “ไปเช้า” ค่ะ เพราะคนจีนมาเป็นกรุ๊ปเยอะมาก ช่วงสายๆ จะเริ่มแน่น การซื้อตั๋วที่หน้างานทำได้ แต่ถ้าเป็นช่วงไฮซีซันแนะนำเผื่อเวลาเข้าคิว และเตรียมพาสปอร์ต/เอกสารยืนยันตัวตนไว้ให้พร้อม เผื่อเจ้าหน้าที่เช็กตอนรับตั๋ว อีกอย่างที่รู้สึกว่าคุ้มมากคือการเลือกไกด์ภาษาอังกฤษ (หรือถ้าใครได้ภาษาจีนก็ยิ่งสะดวก) เพราะข้างในถ้ำจะมีข้อจำกัดเรื่องการเข้าชมเป็นรอบ และการอธิบายช่วยให้เรา “ดูเป็น” มากขึ้น ไม่งั้นอาจเห็นเป็นแค่ภาพสวยๆ แต่ไม่รู้ว่าภาพวาดฝาผนังเล่าเรื่องอะไร หรือรูปสลักมีความหมายยังไง ไกด์จะชี้ให้ดูรายละเอียดเล็กๆ เช่น ลายเส้น เทคนิค สี และอิทธิพลศิลปะที่มาจากหลายภูมิภาคตามเส้นทางสายไหม (ตรงนี้ทำให้เข้าใจเลยว่าทำไมตุนหวงถึงเป็นเมืองสำคัญ) โซนที่ประทับใจมากคือห้องชมภาพยนตร์/นิทรรศการแบบ 360 องศา ก่อนเข้าถ้ำจริง เหมือนเป็นการปูพื้นประวัติให้เราอินขึ้น แล้วค่อยไปดูถ้ำต่างๆ ต่อ เวลาโดยรวมเราแนะนำเผื่อไว้ประมาณ 3 ชั่วโมงกำลังดี เดินไม่รีบและมีเวลาหยุดอ่าน/ฟังรายละเอียด ข้อควรรู้เล็กๆ ก่อนเข้า: บางช่วงอาจห้ามถ่ายรูปในบางพื้นที่เพื่ออนุรักษ์จิตรกรรมฝาผนัง ควรทำตามกฎหน้างาน และใส่รองเท้าที่เดินสบายเพราะมีเดินต่อเนื่องค่ะ ก่อนกลับอย่าลืมแวะโซนร้านของฝาก-คาเฟ่ด้านนอก มีเครื่องดื่มโลโก้ตุนหวง และไฮไลต์ที่น่ารักมากคือ “ไอศกรีมรูปถ้ำโม่เกา” ถ่ายรูปสนุกและช่วยเติมพลังหลังเดินชมถ้ำ การเดินทางก็ไม่ยาก จากตัวเมือง/สนามบินตุนหวงไปถ้ำโม่เกาอยู่ประมาณ 25 กม. นั่งบัสหรือแท็กซี่ได้เลย ใครกำลังแพลนเที่ยวตุนหวง บอกเลยว่าที่นี่เป็นจุดที่ควรล็อกไว้ในลิสต์อันดับต้นๆ ค่ะ
