🚂 review of the 9th CNR Expressway from Bangkok Station to Chiang Mai Station ~ We choose the second class of women's and children's trains on the right side. The lower bed costs 1,038 baht. The upper bed costs 938 baht. The difference is that the lower bed has windows and is wider. The price is more expensive. The inside of the train is clean and new. It takes 13 hours to travel. We go up around 6.40pm to Chiang Mai in the morning at 7.15am. It's quite timely. I like it here. 🩵

🍱 can bring food and drink or eat on the train. They are sold (but the price is a little strong). On the train there is a small bottle of drinking water. ✨

🛌 at almost 8: 00 p.m., the staff started to come to the mattress, and when the mattress felt very Private, but when the train was running, there was not much signal, I suggested to load something to see or carry a book to read. 📔

‼️ for those who sleep hard, it's good to take a blindfold, earplugs, because they turn on the lights all the time, and the train sound is light, some loud, intermittent.

🧻 have 3 bathrooms, there will be a door to block the bathroom again. Whoever sits near the bathroom, do not be afraid of foul 😂. The bathroom is very clean, there is a sink in the bathroom, and there is another separate, comfortable.

P.S. There is no shower.

Most morning ⛅ wake up at 5: 00 in the morning to wash their faces, brush their teeth, make up their bangs, and wait to see the sunrise. The morning light and the side view are beautiful. Getting up early is worth it. 🤍

Overall, we really like to change the atmosphere. Suitable for people who do not rush because it takes a long time to travel. The seat and sleep comfortably. But there are some wakes because the lights are bright. The train is very clean. There will be a maid to walk, collect trash and clean the corridor all the time. And quite quiet, not chaotic. We choose women and children suitable for women, all with friends or alone. We think that it is a certain level of safety. Because from the sight of everyone, everyone is very different. When the mattress is quiet. 😂

หลายคนถามกันเยอะว่า “รถไฟตู้นอนชั้น 2 เป็นยังไง ต้องเตรียมอะไรบ้าง” เลยขอสรุปทิปส์ที่เราใช้จริง เผื่อใครกำลังจะขึ้นรถไฟตู้นอน (ทั้งกรุงเทพ-เชียงใหม่ หรือเส้นทางอื่นๆ เช่น ไปใต้/ไปอุดรฯ) จะได้เที่ยวแบบสบายขึ้น 1) เลือกเตียงล่าง vs เตียงบน ต่างกันมากกว่าราคา - เตียงล่าง: ได้หน้าต่างติดเตียง วิวสวย นอนกว้างกว่า ลุกนั่งง่าย เหมาะกับคนเมารถ/นอนหลับยาก หรืออยากตื่นมาดูวิวตอนเช้า - เตียงบน: ราคาย่อมกว่า แต่จะปีนขึ้น-ลง และพื้นที่แคบกว่าเล็กน้อย แนะนำให้พกของให้น้อย จัดกระเป๋าให้หยิบง่าย 2) เรื่องปลั๊กไฟ ไฟอ่านหนังสือ และของที่ควรพก ส่วนตัวชอบที่ตู้นอน CNR มีปลั๊กไฟกับไฟอ่านหนังสือใกล้เตียง ชาร์จมือถือได้สะดวก แต่ถ้ากลัวปลั๊กหลวม/ตำแหน่งไม่พอดี แนะนำพกปลั๊กพ่วงขนาดเล็กหรือสายชาร์จยาวๆ ไปด้วย ของที่ช่วยให้หลับง่ายขึ้น: ผ้าปิดตา + ที่อุดหู (ไฟค่อนข้างสว่างเป็นช่วงๆ และเสียงรถไฟมีดังเบาสลับกัน) 3) สัญญาณมือถือและความบันเทิงบนรถไฟตู้นอน ช่วงที่รถไฟวิ่งผ่านบางพื้นที่สัญญาณอาจหายหรือช้า เราเลยโหลดซีรีส์/พอดแคสต์ไว้ล่วงหน้า และพกหนังสือไป 1 เล่มคือเพลินมาก ใครทำงานอาจเตรียมไฟล์ออฟไลน์ไว้ด้วยจะอุ่นใจกว่า 4) อาหารบนรถไฟ: เอาขึ้นไปได้ไหม ราคาแพงไหม เราว่า “พกขึ้นไปเอง” สะดวกสุด ทั้งขนม น้ำ และมื้อเบาๆ (เลือกแบบไม่มีกลิ่นแรงจะดีกับเพื่อนร่วมตู้) บนขบวนมีตู้บริการขายอาหารเครื่องดื่มจริง แต่ราคาจะสูงกว่าข้างนอกนิดหน่อย ข้อดีคือไม่ต้องห่วงว่าจะหิวกลางดึก และส่วนใหญ่มีน้ำดื่มให้คนละขวดด้วย 5) ห้องน้ำบนรถไฟตู้นอนชั้น 2 และความสะอาด จากที่เจอ ตู้นอนชั้น 2 จะมีหลายห้องน้ำและมีอ่างล้างมือ แยกสัดส่วนดี มีประตูกั้น ไม่ค่อยมีกลิ่นกวนใจ แม้นั่งใกล้ห้องน้ำก็ไม่ได้น่ากลัวอย่างที่คิด แต่ควรพกทิชชู่เปียก/สเปรย์แอลกอฮอล์ขนาดพกพาไว้ เผื่อช่วงคนใช้เยอะตอนเช้า (ประมาณตี 5 เป็นต้นไป) 6) จองตั๋วให้ได้เตียงที่อยากได้ (โดยเฉพาะช่วงเทศกาล) แนะนำจองผ่าน D-Ticket หรือเว็บ dticket.railway.co.th ล่วงหน้า และเลือก “โซนสตรีและเด็ก” ถ้าไปคนเดียวหรือไปกับเพื่อนผู้หญิง จะรู้สึกสบายใจขึ้นมาก 7) ทิปส์เล็กๆ สำหรับคนอยากได้รูป/วิวสวยๆ ถ้าอยากได้รูปประกอบสวยๆ แบบวิวข้างทาง แนะนำเลือกฝั่งที่ได้แสงเช้า และตั้งนาฬิกาปลุกช่วงเช้ามืดไว้ พอตื่นมาจะได้แสงอุ่นๆ เข้าหน้าต่าง ถ่ายออกมาฟีลดีมาก คุ้มกับการตื่นจริงๆ
