WHAT IS MY HAIR TEXTURE/CURL PATTERN?
Since my hair is wet in these photos itll be a little bit harder to tell because it’s weighted down. I believe it is 3c although I do have curls that are closer to 3b due to heat damage & the other parts of my head towards the back/crown has 4a. I’m not sure if that’s possible but I just thought since I was mixed the genetics just couldn’t decide what to give me ðŸ˜.

Determining your hair texture and curl pattern is essential for effective hair care and styling. Understanding the various curl types—from straight to coily—can help you select the right products and techniques for your hair's needs. The most common curl types are categorized from 1 (straight) to 4 (coily), with curls often further classified as a, b, or c for texture. For example, within the 3 category, 3a is loose curls, while 3b carries more bounce and volume. Products containing moisturizing ingredients are key to maintaining curls. Regular trims can prevent split ends and encourage healthy growth. It's also important to consider the impact of heat damage and how it can alter your natural curl pattern. Embrace your unique curls by avoiding harsh treatments and finding a regimen that celebrates your hair's natural beauty.
