2024 monthly recap ✨

Looking back at my 2024 recap, it truly hits home how much joy and growth can be packed into a single year! Sometimes we're so busy living, we forget to pause and appreciate all the little (and big!) "shows" that make up our lives. Crafting this monthly overview really helped me reflect on every adventure and milestone, and I hope seeing it inspires you to create your own unforgettable moments and share them too. For me, so much of 2024 felt like a grand adventure. Take March, for example, when I embarked on that incredible cruise to the Caribbean. There’s something magical about waking up to ocean views, exploring new islands, and letting all your worries drift away with the waves. If you’re thinking of a big trip, a cruise is an amazing way to see multiple places without constant packing and unpacking. Then, later in the year, September brought us to the breathtaking Mammoth Cave National Park. I still can't get over the sheer majesty of those underground formations – it felt like stepping into another world! And who could forget October, a month absolutely packed with excitement! From the thrill of football games and celebrating friends' weddings to hiking through the stunning New River Gorge National Park and hosting a fun Halloween party, it was a whirlwind. It just goes to show how much richness a single month can hold when you embrace every opportunity. But it wasn't just about big trips. The year was also filled with personal victories and quiet joys. Learning to embroider in February was such a calming, creative outlet, reminding me that new hobbies can bring so much fulfillment. And getting our camper in May? That was a game-changer for future adventures, opening up so many possibilities for exploring. Of course, December brought one of my biggest academic milestones: successfully defending my dissertation proposal! That feeling of accomplishment after so much hard work is truly unmatched. These personal achievements are just as much a part of the 'best shows' of the year as any vacation. Family time also played a huge role, making numerous appearances throughout the year, from Fourth of July fun to Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. These moments, often simple yet profoundly meaningful, weave the fabric of our lives together. Gathering with loved ones, enjoying local traditions like the county fair in August, or just spending quiet evenings together – these are the memories that truly warm my heart. So, as we look ahead, I encourage you to make 2024 (or any year!) your own masterpiece. Document those moments, big or small. Try a new hobby, plan that dream trip, cherish your family, and celebrate every win. Every experience, every lesson, every laugh – these are your unique "shows."
