Skincare that SAVED my Skin🧴🧼
I was NEVER an acne girly through highschool and college. Maybe a pimple here and there, but never a true “breakout”. Around the Fall of 2024, I began to struggle with my skin, which ultimately killed my overall confidence. Like many do, I started to try several different vitamins, serums, and any product that promised “glass skin”. In May of 2025, I had enough, and scheduled an appointment to see my dermatologist.
It turns out, acne has no age limit, and my lifestyle changes (gym, activities, work) played a big factor in my skin health. My dermatologist directed me to cleansers, gels, creams, and moisturizers, that would take my skin (almost completely) back to my original texture (I have some dark spots/scars, but no new acne!) Not only do I feel better, but I am getting SEVERAL compliments on how glowy my skin is- and it’s only 3 steps, 2x a day.
☀️ MY MORNING 3 STEP ROUTINE ☀️
1. LaRoche-Posey Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash:
💧wet face and apply gently, in circular motions for a full minute before rinsing.
2. Clindamysine Phosphate (gel):
💧apply after using the foaming wash.
💧a little goes a long way (especially if you don’t completely dry your skin)!
3. Sun Bum Daily Glow OR LaRoche-Posey Double Repair Face Moisturizer w/ SPF:
💧these two are my favorite moisturizers! Sun bum is amazing for a subtle glow, while staying makeup free and protecting your skin from the sun.
💧the double repair is what I use in the winter when my face is more dry (or the triple repair moisturizer by LaRoche-Posey).
🌙 MY EVENING 3-STEP ROUTINE 🌙
1. Joesoef Anti-Acne Soap:
💧my dermatologist recommended me this bar soap for my evening cleanse.
💧This worked great to clear up my small, clusters, I was experiencing (mostly from sweat build up), and pushed out my blackheads!
💧I have it on a subscription set up through Amazon to have it delivered every 6 months, or so.
2. Trentinoin Cream USP (0.025-0.050%)
💧 start with a small amount, every 2-3 days until your skin can handle the application every night (helps avoid dry patches).
💧 I had started on 0.025%, and was bumped up to 0.050% after 3 months (by my dermatologist)
💧great for reducing inflamed pimple, blackheads, and clogged pores.
3. LaRoche-Posey Double Skin Repair Mosturizer
💧 This is my go to PM moisturizer. My dermatologist and I like it because it helps with my dry/combination skin, without the excess oils (you don’t want to clog the pores you just cleaned out!)
💧I have repurchased 3 or 4x now, and plan to keep this as my nightly go to!
