Trust in the divine

Healing is often misunderstood as merely forgetting the past or carrying anger indefinitely. From my own experience, I've realized that true healing is about reclaiming control over your emotional responses and nervous system. It means being able to be in the same space with those who have caused you pain—whether through abandonment, betrayal, or projection of their own struggles—and maintaining peace without internalizing their actions. Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) is a transformative stage where you stop being defined by trauma. Instead of seeking revenge or being trapped in bitterness, healing becomes a louder, stronger force than past wounds. This growth is not about excusing the harm done, but about freeing yourself from its ongoing emotional hold. A crucial part of this journey is owning your triggers. When you accept responsibility for your reactions, you empower yourself to break free from the control others have over your mood. If someone's presence can still ruin your day, it signals that healing is incomplete. Spiritually, trusting in the divine path and engaging in healing through spirituality or prayer can deeply support this process. Embracing practices like meditation, prayer closets, or connecting with angels can provide comfort and strength to navigate complex emotional landscapes. Emotional discipline and accountability are key—not as punishment but as tools for growth. This means setting healthy boundaries, recognizing your worth beyond your trauma, and fostering respect and kindness, even toward those who have wronged you. In my own journey, these principles have enabled me to smile and find peace amid past pain. Remember, healing is a personal and ongoing process. It's okay to seek support from communities of healers or spiritual guides, and sometimes to take time alone for reflection. Everyone’s path is unique, but cultivating trust in a higher power and commitment to inner peace can profoundly influence your recovery and post-traumatic growth.
