🤍2 mois post-op. 🤍

Oui, je me sens mieux.

J’apprends à me faire confiance.

... Read moreFrom my experience during the initial months after sleeve gastrectomy surgery, the journey is as much mental as it is physical. While weight loss gradually becomes visible, it's important to prepare for common challenges like acid reflux if eating too quickly, a tendency to slip into old eating habits, and unexpected side effects like hair thinning. What was most surprising to me was how rapidly the body changes and how difficult it can be for the mind to keep pace. Learning to slow down is essential—not just in eating, but in daily life. Taking the time to truly listen to your body's signals helps prevent discomfort and supports healthier habits. Confidence in your new lifestyle comes gradually, and being gentle with yourself through setbacks is crucial. Expect good days and tough days; both are part of the transformation. Many who undergo sleeve gastrectomy find that mental adjustments require just as much effort as physical healing. Practices like mindfulness, journaling, or support groups can be valuable in cultivating patience and building resilience. Finally, this process isn’t about perfection but progress. Each step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful. Embracing this mindset fosters a lasting and positive change beyond just the scale. Remember, your journey is unique and worth honoring every twist and turn along the way.

Something I’ve also been doing after workouts that’s been helping me is walking for 3 minutes and then sprinting at the highest setting my body can handle for 2 minutes then I do this for an hour and head to the sauna #healthylifestyle #workout
