48 Hours In PARIS. 🇫🇷❤️

📍 City/Country: Paris, France.

This summer, during the Olympics I went to visit Paris! It’s been on my bucket list since I was 13 and I’m sooo glad it happened! Here are some of my takeaways from my solo trip:

1. The Seine River was a vibe at night. Lots of people go there to hang out, grab dinner, and sit on the river. There’s a lot going on in that area but the sunset is beautiful!

2. SPEAK ENGLISH!!! Or your native language, of course. If you can’t speak French, don’t even bother trying to speak it as if you know it lol. A lot of the locals will mess with you and pretend they can’t understand you then respond in English after, LOL.

3. In most places, you will have to pay to pee in public. This was new to me!

4. The French genuinely love their coffee and pastries. There are cafes on just about every corner and you will be loaded up on carbs for breakfast. However, be prepared to walk it all off during the day.

... Read moreParis, often referred to as the City of Light, has so much to offer in a short time. From iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame Cathedral to hidden gems in charming neighborhoods like Le Marais, every corner of Paris tells a story. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the summer Olympics, the city is even more vibrant. Try to immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting the lively Seine River, which transforms into a social hub at night. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. Don’t forget to indulge in the culinary delights that the city is famous for! French pastries, like croissants and macarons, are a must-try. Pair them with a cup of rich, aromatic coffee in one of the many charming cafes that dot the streets. Despite the carbs, walking is essential to truly experience each neighborhood, so wear comfortable shoes! Communication in Paris can be a bit of a challenge if you're not fluent in French, but most locals will be understanding, especially if you greet them in their language. Just be yourself, and you'll find that traveling solo can lead to some of the most memorable experiences! Finally, keep in mind that public restrooms may come with a fee, which is often surprising for first-time visitors. Planning ahead will save you time and coins, allowing you to focus on enjoying your quick Parisian adventure!
