Sharing one thing I find myself using a TON over the years; especially when I travel and before bed LOL — It’s my Kindle! And here’s why I think everyone should get one too.
📚 I LOVE physical books, but often find them too bulky to carry around with me, and have no space to store more with my collection which is literally exploding. I also HATE when the edges of my books get scruffed up in my bag. Kindle is space-saving and portable.
So convenient and has a great battery life long enough to go days or even weeks without charging even after long hours usage. Ofcourse, the battery has deteriorated over the years but it’s still working pretty well 5-6 years in now.💯
Rather than being the next best thing to the real deal, I find my Kindle enhancing my reading experience. It’s ergonomic and backlit, allowing me to read even in low-light conditions. The E-Ink display creates an almost book-like experience which doesn’t tire my eyes even with long hours of reading.
And I especially love all the already integrated built-in features💡,such as being linked to GoodReads, which helps me to track and share my book consumption. I’m also able to highlight and add notes to parts that intrigue me, just like a physical book, but better! Because I could extract them digitally and have them all in one place on my laptop after. The built-in dictionary function has really eased and quickened my learning as well. (Again, time saving.)
Overall, one major benefit is that I save a lot of money by reading e-books. 🤑 They give me a quick, low-commitment chance to see whether a book is worth reading or having. I also have access to a broader selection than that stocked in physical book stores. I save precious shelf space for books that I’ve vetted and find to actually be worth keeping. 🔖
🥹 For those who are still on the fence between the physical and e-book camps, who says you can’t have both! Getting a Kindle doesn’t make you a sellout. They are different but can be complementary! 💁🏻♀️
