Your South Node = Toxic

You’re not “just like that.”

You’re just still living in the pattern you were born to unlearn.

South Node = who you were trained to be.

North Node = who your soul came here to become.

Drop your South Node sign below and I’ll tell you the toxic trait you’re mistaking for your personality 👀

... Read moreWhen I first stumbled upon the concept of South Node in astrology, it was a total game-changer. I used to think certain habits were ‘just how I am,’ but learning about my South Node made me realize they were actually old patterns I needed to outgrow. It's like your unique default setting, a comfort zone from past experiences or even past lives, that can sometimes hold you back if you lean into it too much. Understanding your South Node isn't about shaming yourself; it's about identifying those subtle, sometimes destructive patterns that we mistake for our identity. For instance, if you have an Aries South Node, you might find yourself falling into destructive patterns of impulsive independence. I've seen friends with this placement struggle with commitment, always feeling the need to be the lone wolf, even when collaboration would serve them better. Unlearning this means embracing partnership and considering others' needs, moving towards their Libra North Node. Someone with a Taurus South Node might cling to comfort and material possessions, resisting change even when it’s necessary for growth. It’s like a fear of letting go, which can prevent them from building true inner security. For Gemini South Nodes, the tendency can be to overexplain everything or stay on a superficial level to avoid vulnerability. I've noticed this in myself at times – a whirlwind of words to mask deeper feelings. If you have a Cancer South Node, you might unconsciously use emotional manipulation or cling to family ties and the past, making it hard to forge your own path. On the flip side, Leo South Nodes can fall into the trap of performing for approval, needing constant external validation, or having an overinflated ego that prevents genuine connection. And for those with a Virgo South Node, there's often a deep need to control things, leading to perfectionism and anxiety, all to hide what feels like inner chaos. My research into Libra South Node showed me how some people might shapeshift to avoid abandonment, always trying to please others at the expense of their own identity. This often manifests in relationship dependency rather than true partnership. And then there's the intense Scorpio South Node – this one really resonated with me regarding some people I know. It can lead to building emotional booby traps, deep control issues, and a reluctance to trust, often stemming from past betrayals or power struggles. Learning to surrender control and embrace vulnerability is key here, moving towards a Taurus North Node. Sagittarius South Nodes might weaponize truth or become dogmatic in their beliefs, unable to see other perspectives. This restlessness can make them avoid commitment. For Capricorn South Nodes, it's common to confuse burnout with accomplishment, always striving for external success and status, while neglecting their emotional well-being. And if you have an Aquarius South Node, you might struggle with trusting people, leading to emotional detachment or intellectual arrogance, making it hard to connect authentically. Finally, Pisces South Nodes often struggle with escapism, martyrdom, or ghosting responsibility. This can manifest as a lack of boundaries or spiritual bypass, avoiding real-world challenges. Learning about these destructive patterns in nodes astrology has been incredibly liberating, helping me (and hopefully you!) to recognize these ingrained traits and consciously choose to evolve towards our North Node path.

Are you the toxic one? It’s hard to admit but sometimes the behaviors that we think are normal are actually toxic. We normalize toxic behaviors to comfort our feelings rather than addressing the feelings. Do you do any of these? Save this post or share with a friend that needs it. 🫶 #wellnes
