The move that saved me

🤍 My Story: I'm 38, and three months ago I moved back in with my parents after 20 years in London. I was completely burnt out from work and, if I'm honest, from life in general.

🤍 How I Felt: I was exhausted all the time, hated my job, cried more than I'd like to admit, and found myself using alcohol as a way to switch off—which only ever made me feel worse. I was living with my two best friends but desperately wanted a place of my own, and it just wasn't financially possible. So I called my mum, packed my life into boxes, and came home.

🤍 Life Now: I've basically kicked my mum off her allotment! 🌱 It's given me a sense of peace I can't really explain. I'm cooking almost every day instead of ordering takeaways, spending my time growing food, and slowly rebuilding myself. I haven't found a job here yet, but for the first time in a long time, I'm not panicking about it. Right now, I'm just focusing on getting myself back.
