Fixing the power plug yourself

Equipment to be prepared

1. Ricochet and flat head screwdriver

2. Lizard mouth pliers

3. Duct tape

4. Multimeter (if available)

5.New power outlet (if need to replace)

Repair procedure

1. Cut the power before starting the work

Turn off the breaker or light switch that supplies the plug to be repaired, to prevent electric shock.

2. Damage check

Turn the plug lid off. Use a multimeter to check that there is no fire flowing through. Check if there is a loose cord, a torn cord, or a burn.

3. Connect new wiring

If you find a loose line, tighten the nut.

If the cord is broken or bare, cut it off and peel the tip of the new cord about 1-2 cm and wrap it with duct tape.

4.Replacement plug (if necessary)

If the plug is broken or burned, it should be replaced immediately.

Weld the wire to the plug terminal correctly (green-yellow wire terminal to ground wire, blue wire terminal to Neutral, brown wire terminal to Live)

5.Assemble back and test

Close the plug lid tightly, turn the breaker back on, and test if the plug works normally?
