How dated a narcissist

How I dealt with a narcissist and abusive man for almost 2 yrs of my life he knew how i used to dress before he met me and he controlled my life made me cut off my friends constantly compared me and body shamed me on a daily basis hated when I did my nails or hair and called me insecure and he had a female friend that never respected our boundaries and the sad part was I confined in her thinking she was a good person not knowing the disgusting things they were doing behind my back he let his his female friends bully me and call me mentally unstable not knowing what I was going through what woman can take in when a man shows his sex tape ,entertains other women, compares you all the time, controls and constantly threatens to hit you or even make rape threats

... Read moreIt’s incredibly hard to articulate the subtle yet devastating tactics of a narcissist, especially when you’re caught in their web. Looking back at my own experience, I wish I had known the red flags sooner. Beyond the obvious abuse, there are insidious 'narcissist sayings' and behaviors that chip away at your reality and self-worth. One of the most jarring things was the constant gaslighting. I'd often hear phrases like, 'You're too sensitive,' or 'You're crazy, that never happened.' It made me question my own sanity, leading to moments where I truly felt 'mentally unstable,' just as they wanted me to believe. They masterfully project their own insecurities onto you, making you feel like the problem. Any attempt to set 'boundaries' was met with anger or dismissal, often reinforced by their friends who would openly 'disrespect' our relationship, making me feel isolated and without a voice. Then there’s the relentless control. It started small, like questioning my 'clothing choices' or suggesting I shouldn't hang out with certain friends. Soon, it escalated to dictating how I dressed, who I spoke to, and even what I thought. It felt like they were constantly trying to 'change someone' into their ideal version, stripping away my identity piece by piece. The text messages truly hit home, showing how deeply ingrained these demands can become, even concerning what you wear or if your 'exposed body' is seen in videos – a terrifying level of surveillance and demand for compliance. Another telling sign was the constant devaluing. Body shaming became a daily occurrence, coupled with relentless comparisons to other women. It was designed to keep me feeling insecure and dependent. They’d shower me with affection one day, then push me away the next, creating an emotional rollercoaster that left me constantly confused and craving their approval. This hot-and-cold dynamic is a classic narcissistic tactic to keep you hooked. I also learned to recognize the specific 'signs of narcissistic abuse' through their actions, not just their words. They'd entertain other women openly, creating triangulation to make me jealous and insecure. My feelings were always secondary, and any attempt to address their disrespect was met with accusations. The threats, both subtle and overt, were terrifying—ranging from emotional blackmail to direct intimidation. It's a calculated dance of power and manipulation that leaves you feeling utterly powerless. If you're reading this and recognizing these patterns, please know you're not alone. Trust your intuition. If someone is making you question your sanity, isolating you from loved ones, or constantly disrespecting your 'boundaries,' these are serious red flags. Documenting these interactions, whether through texts or journal entries, can be incredibly helpful for your own clarity and safety. Rebuilding your self-worth after such an experience is a journey, but recognizing these signs is the crucial first step towards healing and reclaiming your life.

Most of the time when men describe us, they call us crazy and people believe it not knowing what we are going through with these narcissistic men. That’s why I feel very bad when people laugh at women that have gone through abuse.

Could He Be a Narcissist..And You Don’t Even Know
I fell for him fast because he made everything feel magical. The constant attention, deep talks, and big promises felt like real love but it was love bombing. Little by little, his sweetness faded. Compliments became criticism, and every disagreement somehow became my fault. I started apologizing j
