WE all got the wash routine. Now we're going to focus on hydration. These products are for high prosoity hair. The camilie rose (rose mary line )is very good. The loreal hyaluronic acid shampoo and conditioner set is so good .( its the affordable dupe for the matrix shampoo. The camile rose,(rose mary leave in conditioner) is good at retaining moisture. Vegetables glycerine mixed with a leave in conditioner works wonders.(i repeat dont use vegetables glycerine by itself). mix a small pee size with leave in conditioner something it can bid with. All of these products and methods are 4c friendly.
Maintaining hydration in 4C high porosity hair can be challenging, but with the right combination of products and routine, you can keep your curls healthy and moisturized. One key tip I've learned is to use products that list water as the first ingredient, which ensures your hair is getting the moisture it needs. From personal experience, the Camellia Rose Rosemary line stands out for its rich moisture retention, especially their leave-in conditioner—it seals hydration effectively without weighing down my curls. Another affordable and effective option is the L'Oreal Hyaluronic Acid shampoo and conditioner set, which I've found to be a great dupe for more expensive brands like Matrix. Hyaluronic acid is excellent for drawing moisture into the hair shaft, which is why this set works well for maintaining hydration in high porosity hair types. I also experimented with vegetable glycerin, but I learned that using it alone can sometimes cause dryness or stickiness. Instead, mixing a pea-sized amount of vegetable glycerin with your regular leave-in conditioner helps it bind better and provides enhanced moisturizing benefits. This combination helps prevent moisture from escaping while softening the hair. Incorporating a weekly deep conditioning and moisturizing routine is crucial, along with gentle cleansing with sulfate-free shampoos to avoid stripping natural oils. Avoiding heat and over-manipulation further preserves moisture levels. Applying leave-in conditioners on damp hair—and sometimes even inside the shower before hair dries—helps lock in hydration efficiently. Lastly, using rich creams and butters to seal moisture works wonders for 4C hair. Shea butter or castor oil can be great sealants after moisturizing. Also, protective styling like twists or the pineapple method overnight helps reduce hair breakage and moisture loss. Overall, combining these products and methods tailored for 4C high porosity hair results in healthy, soft, and well-moisturized curls that are easier to manage and style.
