my 2 cents on post As

sooooooo exam season is coming to an end, so here are my thoughts on what to do after As

✨rest✨

congrats to all the j2s for completing your A levels!! i know that it was a super duper mentally and physically draining few months but it is finally over! most importantly is to take a good rest. be it travelling, watching drama, meeting friends, sleeping, gymming, eating, do everything that YOU want to and catch up on all those sleepless mugging nights

👁️explore👁️

first, explore your 🔥passion🔥 (this will help you figure out what uni course to go to!) perhaps take up some courses or a job to further that interest. for instance, if you enjoy interacting with children, childcare will be for you. or if you prefer business related, take up courses available on skillsfuture to understand more. all these will help you decifer as to what is your long term passion and interest. a great hack is to take many personality quizes to see your compatibility to certain industries (some are even on the career guidance website)

secondly, explore the ✈️world✈️ one regret i had was to not travel more..... go as many places as your wallet allows and really relax. many if my friends went on grad trips with their friends and they say it is the most memorable event ever.

next, explore 🧶hobbies🧶 now is the time to find nee things to do!! some things i picked up was journalling, crocheting and bracelet making!!

📓plan📓

plan your future!! dont wait for the results to come out then start planning as by then it wld be quite rush to fill in all the uni applications (each application to different universities will require you to fill in a different set of questions thus it takes quite some time to complete all of them) research on the different prerequisites and igp of the different courses of varying scores so that you can make a fast decision when the results are out. also dont limit yourselves to uni, if there is something that interests you in poly go for it!! other than universities, you can consider researching scholarships, bursaries and financial aid schemes to make your uni life financially smoother

aaannnddd thats it!! hope this helps all the j2s out there

🥳🥳 once again congrats on completing your As

... Read moreAfter completing your A levels, it's important to balance rest and productivity to maintain your well-being and future success. From my experience, resting isn't just about physical sleep but mental relaxation too. Take time to immerse yourself in hobbies like journaling or crafts, which helped me regain focus and creativity. Exploring your passions can sometimes be overwhelming after exams, but breaking it down by interests can reveal a suitable path. For example, if you enjoy business or working with kids, consider trying out related online courses or short internships to get a real feel for those fields. Personality quizzes can also give surprising insights into career options that align with your strengths. Traveling post-exams can be more than just a break—it broadens your perspective and builds memories that last. If budget constraints exist, even day trips or local explorations can refresh your outlook. When planning your future, don’t rush after results are out. Research university prerequisites in advance and look into scholarships or financial aid to ease the process. Remember, university isn’t the only path; polytechnic and other educational routes can be equally rewarding depending on your goals. Incorporating these elements of rest, exploration, and planning will set a solid foundation for your next chapter after A levels.
