I've been getting wolf cuts for the past few years and this has truly been a game changer for me! My hair is naturally very thin & straight and without any styling or layering, it js lies flat on my head, making me look like an egg.. 🥚 Layering helps to give the illusion of thicker hair, even without styling! Opt for other layer-heavy hairstyles such as: shags, mullets, or the butterfly cut 💇🏻♀️

Saw tiktok video saying that washing your hair twice helps to reduce hair oil/grease. If you are someone who easily gets greasy hair - this could be something to try. However, keep in mind that you should avoid overwashing if your hair is already very dry as this will strip the natural oils from your hair and cause further damage / dry scalp / dandruff etc!

Styling / curling your hair is the quickest and most effective way of adding volume~ I like to use my hair straightener to curl my hair, but there are also other hair styling options eg teasing 🪮 (also known as backcombing or ratting) & heatless waves!

My skin type is oily and the oil tends to transfer to the hair in contact with my face - making my hair stick to my face & look extra straggly/thin 🥲 One hack I use is using mineral powders to absorb the oils from my face & hair to instantly return LIFE to my hair 🤩 You can use either setting or mineral powders - the one I use is the No Sebum AC powder 🫶🏻 lifesaver for long days & oily kbbqs~
KEY POINT: Basically, anything that promotes dryness of your hair helps to maintain the shape, lightness, and airiness of your hair --> also helps to make your hair stay more poofy & volumized. Water (humidity, sweat) and oils (facial oils, hair grease, cooking oils) weigh down your hair and can make it look wet and flat 🫣
At the end of the day, all hair types are beautiful - thin & flat or thick & bushy. I do like having curls and volume once in a while but I still love my naturally thin & straight hair :) I hope these tips are helpful! 🫶🏻
