When I first faced this problem, I found it helpful to start by checking the BIOS settings. Ensuring that the correct boot device is prioritized can often resolve the issue quickly. If the boot order is correct, running a startup repair or using command prompt tools like "bootrec" can fix corrupted boot records that prevent the OS from loading. Sometimes, the problem can be hardware-related, such as a failing hard drive or loose cables inside the computer. Verifying the physical connections or testing the drive with diagnostic tools helped me pinpoint hardware faults.
