Strawberry skin, with its pinkish hue, tends to lean toward cool undertones, benefiting from colors like blues and purples. An easy way to identify your undertone is by looking at the veins on your wrist: greenish veins typically indicate warm undertones, bluish or purple veins suggest cool undertones, while a mix indicates neutral. This awareness really changed how I selected foundation and lipstick shades, making my complexion glow rather than appear dull. Also, embracing these nuanced skin tone names helps celebrate diversity and encourages a more personalized approach to beauty. For instance, dark chocolate and milk skin tones need different types of products for hydration and coverage compared to lighter tones.
