「セカンドキッチン 烏丸松原店」や「イタリアン鉄板バール 鳥丸due」のレビューを探している人って、“烏丸〜松原あたりで、カジュアルにイタリアンをつまみながら飲める店ないかな？”という気分が多いと思うんですが、私が近いテンションで行って良かったのが四条烏丸の「馬肉バルpacalo」でした。 まず、ここは“イタリアン寄りのバルだけど主役は馬肉”なところがハッキリしていて、初回は看板の馬刺し盛り（5種or7種）を頼むのがいちばん満足度高め。部位ごとに食感が違って、噛むほど旨みが出る系なので、ワインやスパークリングと相性が良かったです。馬刺しって「量が少ないのかな？」と不安になることがあるけど、盛り合わせだと食べ比べできて会話も弾みます。 あと、ワインをグラスで選べる種類が多いのが個人的にかなり推しポイント。ボトルだと好みが合わないと困るけど、グラスで数種類あると“1杯目は泡→2杯目は赤”みたいに気軽に楽しめます。烏丸周辺で「レビューが良さそうだから行ってみたいけど、メニューが偏ってないか心配…」って時に、この“選択肢の多さ”は強いなと思いました。 おつまみ系は、チーズ香るポテトサラダ（卵黄ソース×ペコリーノが濃厚）みたいな、テンション上がる盛り付けのものが多め。燻製はスモーキーでお酒が進むし、海老とマッシュルームのアヒージョはバゲット必須。さらに、ラクレットチーズが季節野菜にとろ〜っとかかった鉄板系もあって、“イタリアンバルっぽさ”もしっかりあります。 しっかり食べたい日には、たっぷり馬肉のボロネーゼが優勝でした。もちもち麺に濃厚ソースで、飲まない人でも満足できる系。サクサク衣の馬肉メンチカツもあって、みんなでシェアしやすいのも助かります。 使い方としては、①デート・女子会の1軒目、②烏丸で「2軒目どうする？」って時、③少人数の忘年会、あたりが特にハマりそう。烏丸〜松原エリアでお店選びに迷っているなら、候補に入れて損なしだと思います。
