Read more平安神宮の近くで「雰囲気も良くて、ちゃんと美味しいカフェないかな?」と探している人に、Three HORSESはかなり使いやすいと思いました。岡崎公園〜平安神宮の大鳥居あたりは観光の合間に寄りやすい反面、混みやすいので“目的を決めて行く”のがコツです。 私が行って感じたおすすめの使い分けは、①朝〜昼はモーニング/ブランチ目的、②午後はショーケースのスイーツ狙い、の2パターン。ショーケースにはプリン、チーズケーキ、ガトーショコラ、シフォン、スコーン、レモンケイク、キッシュなど種類が多くて、正直かなり迷います。甘いものだけじゃなく軽食っぽいものもあるので、「平安神宮周辺で安いランチを軽めに済ませたい」人にも合いそう。 “three horses メニュー”で調べて来店する人も多いと思うので、頼み方の目安も。がっつり甘いものを食べたい日はフレンチトーストが満足度高め(メープルやクリームがしっかり)。苺系が好きならイートンメスが華やかで、写真映えも強いです。カヌレは外カリ強めというより、しっとり・もちっと寄りの印象でした。 飲み物は、コーヒー系をおしゃれに楽しみたい人向けの雰囲気で、牛乳系ドリンクをオーツミルクに変更できるのが地味に助かりました。暑い日はスムージー系もあり。甘いスイーツ+さっぱりドリンクの組み合わせにすると最後まで飽きにくいです。 写真目的(“three horses 写真”で探している人)なら、店内の大きな窓側がいちばん。タイミングが良いと、平安神宮の大鳥居がきれいに見えて「岡崎らしさ」が一枚に入ります。無機質な内装なので、スイーツやドリンクの色が映えるのも良かったです。 行き方は地下鉄東西線の東山駅から徒歩圏内で、平安神宮と駅の間にあるイメージ。観光ルートに組み込みやすい反面、自転車は駐輪NGとのことだったので注意しました。テラス席があり、犬連れOKなのも嬉しいポイント。 最後に、平安神宮周辺はカフェが点在しているので「混んでたら別にしよう」だと迷いがち。ここはモーニング〜スイーツまで幅が広いので、先に“食べたいもの(フレンチトースト/カヌレ/イートンメス)”を決めて行くと満足度が上がります。
