「珈琲ヤマグチ」って検索して行く前に知っておくと助かったことを、体験ベースでまとめます。 まず雰囲気は“静かに過ごす喫茶店”。私が行った日も、店内では読書されている方が多くて、会話も自然と小さめになります。おしゃべりメインというより、コーヒーの香りに包まれてのんびりする場所でした。写真についてもルールがあるので、入店したら一言確認しておくと安心です（私は手元だけ数枚にしました）。 コーヒーは自家焙煎で、豆を選べるのが楽しいポイント。私はマンデリンを選んだのですが、しっかりめのコクで甘いお菓子と合わせやすかったです。迷ったら「酸味控えめが好き」「苦みしっかりが好き」みたいに好みを伝えると選びやすいと思います。豆の購入もできるので、気に入ったらおうち用に買って帰るのも良さそう。 一緒に食べたブランデーケーキは、コーヒーの相棒感が強いタイプ。しっとり系で、甘さと香りがふわっと残るので、ブラックでもバランスが取りやすかったです。2人ならシェアして、コーヒーはそれぞれ別の豆にして飲み比 べるのも楽しいはず。 混雑は時間帯で結構違う印象でした。日曜の午後はテーブルが埋まりがちで、カウンターが空いていることも。1人で行くならカウンター狙いが入りやすいと思います。JR円町駅から歩ける距離なので、散歩がてら“西ノ京で珈琲”を楽しみたい日にぴったり。 ちなみに、同じく検索でよく出てくる「オマーラベーカリー」も気になる方は、パンを買って別日にカフェ時間…みたいに“パンの日／コーヒーの日”で予定を分けると、京都らしいゆるい休日が作れておすすめです。
