京都の丸太町エリアで見つけた「Paddy」は、夏の朝にぴったりのモーニングスポットとしておすすめしたいカフェです。地元の素材にこだわった全粒粉と豆腐を使ったワッフルは、軽やかでありながら満足感があり、朝から罪悪感なく楽しめるのがうれしいポイントです。 私も先日訪れた際に、このワッフルセットを注文しました。ワッフルの外はカリッと、中はふわふわとしていて、素朴な味わいが印象的でした。生クリームトッピング（＋100円）を追加すると、ワッフルのほどよい甘さとクリームのコクが絶妙にマッチし、とても満足感がありました。また、友人は目玉焼きをトッピングしていましたが、甘じょっぱい組み合わせがクセになります。 このお店の魅力は、何と言っても季節ごとに変わるおやつのラインアップ。週替わりで登場するタルトは、訪れるたびに新しい味に出会える楽しみがあります。私が訪れた時はキャロットケーキとメロンのショートケーキが並んでいて、次回も絶対試したいと思いました。 さらに、カフェの建物は一級建築士が手がけた京町家の空間で、木の温もりと伝統的な趣きがあり、とても落ち着く雰囲気です。大宮通りの細い路地の奥に入った隠れ家のような立地ですが、地下鉄丸太町駅や二条城前駅から徒歩約15分とアクセスも良好です。 夏季限定の営業時間は日曜日のみ朝8時から17時までなので、早起きしてゆったりとモーニングを楽しむのに最適です。キャッシュレス決済も対応しており、便利に利用できます。 京都で体に優しいヘルシースイーツを楽しみたい方や、季節感あふれるおやつを味わいたい方にはぜひ訪れてほしいスポットです。ワッフルだけでなく、今後変わっていくおやつメニューにも注目して、何度も足を運びたくなるカフェでしょう。
