During my recent trip to San Antonio, I also chose to stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Downtown near the Riverwalk, and I wanted to share a bit more about my experience beyond just the basics. One thing I truly appreciated was the suite-style amenities, such as having two TVs, a microwave, and a mini-fridge, which made it very convenient for late-night snacks and relaxing in the room. The beds were definitely a highlight — I found them to be perfectly comfy and firm, just what I needed for a restful night's sleep after exploring the city. Something to watch out for though, is the thermostat control. The hotel has centralized temperature settings, so the thermostat in the room may be locked or preset. When I arrived, I made sure to check that the AC was adjustable; otherwise, I heard from others it could get a bit uncomfortable if the temperature can’t be changed. While the hotel does have an outdoor pool, unfortunately, the weather was too chilly for me to enjoy it during my stay. However, the pool area seemed well maintained and would likely be a nice place to unwind when it's warmer. Its location is truly unbeatable for anyone wanting to explore San Antonio’s famed River Walk and downtown attractions. You’re just a short walk away from some of the best spots for dining, shopping, and cultural sites. The friendly hotel staff also made checking in and getting recommendations really pleasant. For travelers mindful of budget but who still want a taste of comfort and great location, this hotel definitely stands out. Just plan ahead regarding the thermostat, and you’re set for a great stay in San Antonio, Texas!
