... Read moreFrom my own experience as a pre-nursing student, I've seen firsthand how discipline truly outweighs talent when it comes to reaching goals. Early on, I realized that natural ability can only take you so far. What makes a real difference is the consistent effort and structured routine I commit to day after day. For example, setting strict study schedules and sticking to them—even when motivation dips—helps me retain information better and prepares me thoroughly for exams. Discipline also means managing distractions effectively. It’s about prioritizing tasks and maintaining a countdown mindset, as the OCR content "Count Down 1 Hou" suggests, which reminds me to break my study sessions into focused intervals. This approach dramatically improves my productivity. Moreover, balancing nursing coursework, clinical practice, and personal life requires ongoing self-control and dedication. Talent might help to grasp concepts quickly, but discipline ensures knowledge deepens and skills develop continuously. Discipline provides structure, motivation, and resilience, especially when facing stressful times or setbacks. In my journey, embracing discipline has also cultivated a growth mindset. It encourages me to view challenges as opportunities to improve rather than insurmountable obstacles. The phrase "Discipline > Talent" has become a personal mantra that fuels my perseverance and commitment. So, if you're aiming to excel in nursing school or any demanding field, remember that building and maintaining discipline will ultimately lead you to success much more reliably than relying on talent alone.

This is why discipline is so hard… but necessary🩷
Everyone talks about motivation… but discipline is what actually changes your life. This carousel breaks it down: • doing it even when you don’t feel like it • choosing your future over your emotions • trusting the process when it’s uncomfortable • understanding that growth won’t always feel

The image is a title slide for "Dissociative Identity Disorder Fact vs fiction of D.I.D." It features a dark green background with light pink crane patterns and a "Swipe" indicator.
This image debunks the fiction that alters only form in childhood, stating that alters can form at any age if the disorder originated in childhood.
This image addresses the fiction that DID is extremely rare, clarifying that it affects 1.5-3% of the population, not accounting for undiagnosed individuals.

Postpartum depression isn’t a mindset problem, so “just think positive” was never going to work. When you’re running on no sleep, your hormones are shifting, and your entire identity has changed. Your brain is in survival mode, not “reframe your thoughts” mode. This is why I don’t start with
