Favorite Trip I Took in 2025
My favorite trip of 2025 was definitely when I traveled solo to Ireland earlier this year! It is a perfect country for first time solo travelers and it felt super safe for a woman to travel alone. Some of my favorite activities that I did were:
National Museum of Ireland, Kildare Street
There was delicious food in Ireland as well, I tried fish & chips, seafood chowder, Irish soda bread, Irish whiskey, and more! I am dreaming of making it back to Ireland again one day in the future and explore more of the country. I hope this inspires you to add Ireland to your travel bucket list
Traveling solo to Ireland in 2025 was truly a remarkable experience that I often recommend to others who are considering their first solo adventure. One of the standout visits was to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, where you can learn about the history and brewing process of Ireland’s most famous beer. Aside from being fun and informative, the tasting experience at the Gravity Bar provides magnificent panoramic views of Dublin city, making it a perfect stop for any traveler interested in culture paired with stunning scenery. The Cliffs of Moher are another must-see destination. Walking along these towering cliffs with the Atlantic Ocean crashing beneath you is awe-inspiring. It’s a great place for reflection and photos, and the natural beauty makes you appreciate the raw landscapes of Ireland. For those fascinated by history and literature, The Book of Kells Experience at Trinity College in Dublin is a treasure. This beautifully preserved manuscript offers insight into medieval artistry and Irish heritage, and wandering around the Long Room of the Old Library is a unique, almost magical experience. Additionally, exploring the National Museum of Ireland on Kildare Street allowed me to dive deep into Ireland’s rich history, especially its archaeological and decorative art collections. It’s a quiet, enriching spot to complement the more outdoor-centered parts of the trip. Food in Ireland is an absolute delight for any traveler. During my visit, I made sure to sample traditional dishes such as fish & chips and seafood chowder, which were fresh and flavorful. Irish soda bread accompanied many meals, and of course, savoring Irish whiskey added to the authentic tasting experience. The cuisine really emphasizes comfort and freshness, which I found to be a wonderful way to balance all the activities. Overall, traveling solo in Ireland gave me a sense of independence wrapped in safety and hospitality. The locals are friendly and often eager to share their culture, making it easy to start conversations and get travel tips.
