if you donโ€™t already know, lasalle has an exhibition on diploma & degree fresh graduates works til 29th may 12-8pm daily! โฐ

i am a design graduate from TP & didnโ€™t even visit the โ€˜24 design show โ˜น๏ธ so i was super upset that i missed out on it including the NTU ADM one (๐‘Ž๐‘  ๐‘– ๐‘ค๐‘Ž๐‘  ๐‘ค๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ๐‘˜๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐น๐‘‡ ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’๐‘›โ€ฆ) so when i heard from my poly friends that LASALLE had a design show, my bf & i visited the next day since is his day off! ๐Ÿคญ

even tho the campus was quiet, there were still visitors visiting the showcase & iโ€™m glad we werenโ€™t the only ones! i honestly cannot rmb which gallery room is diploma/degree but i thoroughly enjoyed the one @ basement (๐‘”๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘™๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘ฆ 1) which i believe might be fine artsโ€ฆ? (๐‘๐‘–๐‘ 2-4) ๐ŸŽญ

iโ€™m a communication design gurlie ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿปย so i was super stoked to see whatโ€™s in store for that dip/deg & they ๐ƒ๐ˆ๐ƒ ๐๐Ž๐“ disappoint!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ the huge ass room with never ending rows (๐‘๐‘–๐‘ 6) was a combination of product design + architecture + comms design + fashion. it was really interesting to see the different concepts, styles & how clean + sleek their final execution was. ๐ˆ ๐‹๐Ž๐•๐„ ๐ˆ๐“ ๐“๐Ž ๐๐ˆ๐“๐’ & also how some projects had interactive elements to it ๐Ÿค๐Ÿป

... Read moreHaving visited the LASALLE art and design exhibition myself, I can vouch for how enriching it is to see the breadth of creativity and skill displayed by the fresh graduates. The product design section particularly stood out to me โ€” the way the designers integrate form and function while pushing conceptual boundaries is refreshing. One interactive installation that stuck with me allowed visitors to engage directly with the design elements, making the experience immersive and memorable. It's impressive how communication design was combined cleverly with product and architecture projects, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach many new designers embrace today. If youโ€™re curious about pursuing a similar path or just love innovative design, this exhibit provides insightful glimpses into emerging trends and ideas from Singaporeโ€™s young talent. Itโ€™s also a perfect weekend outing as it runs daily till 8pm and is free to explore. Don't miss the fine arts section in the basement tooโ€”it offers thought-provoking pieces that complement the design works. For anyone interested in product design, seeing such diverse styles and polished presentations gives inspiration and a realistic preview of what professional design entails. The showcase illustrates not only aesthetic appeal but also the importance of usability and user interaction in successful design projects. Whether youโ€™re a student, a design professional, or simply a fan of creative arts, taking the time to visit LASALLE's show will definitely spark ideas and appreciation for the craft behind each project. It reminds me how vital exhibitions like these are for nurturing new talent and encouraging community engagement with the creative industries.
