I wanted everything to be perfect, and let me tell you, it truly took a village! The morning started bright and early, even with a precision run class to get the energy flowing – yes, even on shoot day! A quick Celsius and a soothing face mask later, I was ready for my amazing makeup artist, Hope, to work her magic. Having a professional on hand made all the difference; it really let me relax and enjoy the pampering before the big moment. Now, let's talk about the star of the show (besides my diploma, of course!): my custom-made lehenga. This wasn't just an outfit; it was a labor of love that took three and a half months to create by Aziza, with every single part hand-stitched. It truly fit like a dream, and wearing something so vibrant and culturally significant felt incredibly special for such a milestone. Getting into it was an adventure itself – I wore the top easily, but the heavy bottom required some clever maneuvering, pairing it with spandex and carrying it around until we were on location. Finding the right shoes was key too; I opted for ones that gave me height but were comfortable enough to navigate campus and the beach. Speaking of locations, Pepperdine University offered the most stunning backdrops. We started at the iconic Alumni Park, with its breathtaking ocean views, then explored the Business School campus – so many memories made there! And to top it off, we headed down to the beach for some truly unique shots.
