When I first began, I had little knowledge of the industry, and it felt overwhelming to establish a client base and develop my skills. However, through persistent effort, continuous learning, and adapting to client needs, I've seen noticeable progress. One important realization is the value of setting achievable goals. While the ultimate vision might seem distant, celebrating small milestones keeps motivation high. For example, increasing repeat clients or mastering a new lash technique are significant achievements along the way. Building a business in Montreal has its unique aspects. The city’s vibrant beauty community offers both competition and collaboration, pushing me to stand out by offering personalized services and maintaining high-quality standards. Engaging with local events and social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok has also helped increase visibility and attract new clients. Moreover, maintaining a strong vision is crucial. It guides daily activities and decisions, helping me stay focused despite setbacks. The progress so far has encouraged me to continue refining my craft, investing in professional development, and experimenting with innovative lash styles. For anyone starting a similar journey, I recommend embracing the process, learning from mistakes, and valuing each step forward. Growth won't happen overnight, but with passion and perseverance, it’s possible to transform a dream into a thriving business.

A list titled "TOXIC THINGS YOU DIDN'T DESERVE." enumerates six points, including guilt for speaking up, judgment for vulnerability, constant effort to make you look bad, smear campaigns, confusion after conditioning, and finding a home for feelings after a fairytale ends. Lemon8 and user handles are at the bottom.
An abstract line art illustration features multiple overlapping faces in various colors (purple, green, pink, yellow). Text reads, "You are worthy of love in all of your phases... this version of you needs love and acceptance too." Lemon8 and a user handle are at the bottom.
A black and white sketch depicts a farm scene with a barn, trees, a person, and three cows. A speech bubble states, "WHILE YOU'RE DOUBTING YOURSELF, SOMEONE ELSE IS ADMIRING YOUR STRENGTH."

A Bible page displaying Nehemiah Chapter 6, detailing the continued opposition to rebuilding the wall by Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, with overlaid text reading 'NEHEMIAH CHAPTER 6 Notes & highlights'.
A Bible page from Nehemiah 6, highlighting how Nehemiah's enemies tried to intimidate and mislead him, but he completed the wall in 52 days with God's help, despite threatening letters.
Handwritten notes summarizing Nehemiah 6, explaining how Nehemiah's enemies tried to stop him, but he stayed obedient to God's call, identified their lies, and prayed for strength to complete the wall.
Lesson from Nehemiah!
The enemy is persistent, but so is God’s truth. Nehemiah was so close to finishing the wall when the enemy tried everything—distractions, lies, fear tactics—to stop him. They spread rumors, sent threats, and even tried to trap him with a false prophet. But Nehemiah didn’t entertain their schemes
