Our dinning experience at Toro 🇲🇽🍴 Riviera Maya
The restaurant ambiance, food, & service 10/10! Our server Jovani was great and offered amazing recommendations!
Dining at Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval in Riviera Maya was an absolute highlight of my trip, and I'm still raving about it! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance immediately set the tone for a luxurious and memorable evening. The illuminated sign for 'Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval' at the entrance, surrounded by lush foliage, hinted at the sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere that awaited us inside. It truly felt like stepping into an exclusive culinary haven. Our server, Jovani, was exceptional, making the experience even more delightful with his amazing recommendations and attentive service. He guided us through the menu, which was a culinary journey in itself. We started with the warm, housemade bread, served in a woven basket with a delightful dipping sauce – a perfect prelude to the feast. Then came the Hamachi Tiradito, beautifully presented with delicate pink fish slices, fresh herbs, and a touch of caviar. The flavors were incredibly vibrant and fresh, making it an absolute must-try appetizer. Being a fan of sushi, we couldn't resist trying some of their rolls. The Spicy Tuna Tempura Rolls, topped with jalapeños and caviar, offered a fantastic kick, while the Flamed Salmon Rolls, garnished with diced ingredients, were equally impressive with their rich, smoky flavor. For our main courses, the Lobster Tacos were a standout – perfectly succulent lobster in soft tortillas with just the right amount of spice and zest. We also tried the Lomo Saltado, a flavorful beef dish with a rich sauce and crispy fried strands, which was hearty and incredibly satisfying. Every dish was a work of art, both visually and gastronomically. We also indulged in some unique side dishes that truly elevated the meal. The Esquites & Mac & Cheese, topped with crunchy breadcrumbs and herbs, was a surprisingly delicious fusion, and the Truffle Fries with cheese and jalapeños were simply addictive – crispy, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we couldn't leave without trying the churros, served with two divine dipping sauces, alongside scoops of vanilla ice cream and fresh berries. It was the perfect sweet ending to an extraordinary meal. Overall, Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval offers a dining experience that's not just about the food, but about the entire atmosphere, impeccable service, and unforgettable flavors.
