Be okay with it!
Once you cut certain people out of your life, you have to become comfortable with the fact that they may talk badly about you or even create stories that aren't true. Your silence and your absence leave a space that some people fill with narratives that help them justify losing access to you. Rather than taking accountability for their own actions, it's often easier for them to paint you as the villain. The truth is, not everyone will understand your reasons for choosing peace, and that's okay. Protecting your well-being sometimes means accepting that you can't control how others choose to remember or describe you.
