It's crucial to choose the right breed for service work; many prospective service dogs are selected for their temperament and trainability. The standard poodle, for instance, is known for its intelligence and eagerness to please, making it an excellent choice for service work. As Cider’s journey unfolds, we'll be sharing insights not just on her training but also on how to nurture and bond with a service dog. Beyond the training aspect, engaging in obedience classes and socialization outings plays a vital role in her development. Regular vet visits are essential to ensure her health and well-being. As she adjusts to her new life, Cider will become more than just a service dog; she'll join a loving family and help others on their healing journeys.
