Tikka N Talk, Indian Cuisine in NYC 💕😋

📍Location: 70-11 Austin St, Queens, NY 11375

Tikka n Talk

⏰ Hours: Closed Tuesdays

Sunday-Saturday 11am-10pm

If you love Indian cuisine, this place is a must visit. Located in the busy forest hills. They sell all things Indian.

This restaurant is located in a low key lower floor. When walking in your greeted with the beautiful aesthetic. So many flowers!! Then you see the photo op corner with a swing.

There food is spicy! It will have your nose running. I love the spice though. All portions are big, you can share with about 3 people.

The service was quick, our server was friendly and made you feel like home. When I visited the restaurant was empty.

I ordered a nonalcoholic drink, strawberry flavored topped with sprite for $8.00

They gave us chips and 3 sauces you can also use for your food.

The butter chicken was tasty filled with flavor and spices. For $17.00 you can feed your whole table. You get basmati rice with it. I usually eat butter chicken with the delicious garlic naan which is $4.00 each.

The tandoori chicken which was $20.00 came out on a sizzling hot plate. It was so good, tandoori chicken is one of my favorite Indian dishes.

The prices are definitely worth it for the food, quality & service.

⭐️Overall rating: /5: 5/5

Tikka n Talk
2023/8/14 Edited to

... Read moreMy recent adventure to Tikka N Talk in Forest Hills, Queens, was an absolute treat for the senses, and I can't wait to share more about what makes this place a true standout for Indian cuisine in NYC. While the original review covers the highlights, I wanted to dive deeper into the experience and give you some extra tips for your visit. Stepping into Tikka N Talk, despite its low-key entrance on Austin Street, is like entering a vibrant, floral oasis. The aesthetic is truly captivating, with so many flowers decorating the space. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. I especially loved the cozy photo op area featuring a hanging egg chair adorned with even more flowers. It’s perfect for capturing those Instagrammable moments and adds such a unique charm, making your dining experience even more memorable. Beyond the amazing butter chicken and tandoori chicken, which are absolute must-tries, their menu offers a rich array of options. The OCR mentioned “TIKKA specials” and “VEGETARIANS SPECIALITIES,” and I highly recommend exploring these sections. If you're a fan of paneer, definitely look for the Paneer Tikka – it's often a flavorful and satisfying vegetarian choice. Don't limit yourself to just garlic naan, either; they likely have other varieties that pair perfectly with their rich curries. And speaking of the menu, it’s worth noting that the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and generous portions you receive. My $17 butter chicken could easily feed three people, making it fantastic value. Let’s talk about the food itself. Yes, it’s spicy! My nose was definitely running, but that’s exactly how I love my Indian food. If you’re sensitive to heat, don't hesitate to ask about their spice levels when ordering. The complimentary chips and three sauces they provide are a wonderful touch – those sauces are so good you’ll want to put them on everything! And for drinks, while I enjoyed the non-alcoholic strawberry drink (which, by the way, was only $8.00 and available in five flavors, according to the menu details I saw), they have a good selection to complement your meal. Considering the busy Forest Hills location, it's good to know their hours: Sunday through Saturday from 11 AM to 10 PM, but remember they are CLOSED TUESDAYS. Planning your visit around this ensures you won't be disappointed. The service is quick and incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home, which really enhances the overall dining experience. Tikka N Talk truly offers a complete package – fantastic food, warm ambiance, and excellent service – making it a top spot for Indian cuisine review in NYC. If you’re looking for authentic flavors and a joyful dining atmosphere, put this Forest Hills gem on your list!
