activities of the week 🧚🏽

hi guys i want to connect more with you so i’m sharing what i did this week 🫂 oof i spent a lot of alone time! i haven’t been so hard on myself. allowing myself to feel all emotions and adventure. so, i visited local bookstores that i’ve never been to before. i went to parks and read books under trees 🌱 very grounding. oh yeah! i’m reading more!

getting back into books because if i can scroll on my phone for an hour why can’t i read a good story for an hour? you make time for it. i’m usually into self help books and psychology so i had trouble getting back into fantasy/fiction. i want to challenge my imagination! 🧚🏽 so manga could help since there’s animation in between reads.

making sure i get outside is important. otherwise i could just rot inside. it’s very hot where i live but at sunset i go for what i call a “mental health walk” it’s the best time in my opinion. not too hot, not too cold, plus i get to see a beautiful sunset 🙂‍↕️

playing comfort games on my switch allows me to be kid-like and cozy 🦖 although i have to monitor how long i’m doing it for because i could definitely play all day long 🥱

i braided my hair and that took me about 5 hours. it was nice alone time for me and reminded me how much i love my hair. most times i neglect it and just through it up into a bun everyday 🥱

these are my newest hobbies. i hope you’re doing well and love what you do in your free time! stay healthy and don’t be so hard on yourself 💌 what are some comfort hobbies of yours?

... Read moreThis week has been all about embracing self-care and reconnecting with my creative side. I made a conscious effort to step outside, especially during cooler evenings, transforming my walks into moments of mental rejuvenation. The 'mental health walk' has become an essential nightly practice, providing not only exercise but also a chance to witness beautiful sunsets that can uplift spirits. Reading has taken center stage in my leisure time, as I’ve discovered the joy of getting lost in stories again. Transitioning from self-help to fantasy and manga has sparked my imagination, allowing me to indulge in the artistry of storytelling that fuels creativity. Furthermore, I took some time to pamper myself, braiding my hair—a task that became a delightful five-hour journey of self-discovery and care. It helped remind me of the beauty in my everyday routine while also reinforcing the importance of self-love. Embracing hobbies, whether it’s reading or playing games, is essential for our mental health. Sharing these experiences with you reminds me that we are not alone in this journey. What hobbies bring you comfort and joy?
