The Campbell NYC - Cocktail O’Clock 🍸

The Campbell is a super classy cocktail bar that is located in NYC's Grand Central Terminal. They serve top-notch drinks in a historic setting. They retained the historic architecture while introducing contemporary design elements, creating a great ambiance. They also have live music!

We had the Peachy Keen, made with Dewars 12 year, peach preserve, lemon, black tea, and elderflower ($21). This drink is my favorite drink here! It is sweet, tangy, and refreshing. Whiskey drinks are usually not for me, but this one the whisky is not as strong. The other ingredients made it very tasty. A perfect 10/10. 🍹

We tried the Lychee Martini, made with Belvedere vodka, cinnamon lychee, and fresh lime juice ($22). It was a decent 8/10. I was expecting more of a traditional lychee martini, but this one had a very strong cinnamon taste that I personally don’t prefer. This will be a great drink for anyone who likes the cinnamon taste.

The Picante Conde, made with Pierde Almas La Mezcal, Ancho Reyes, Aperol, fresh lemon, cinnamon, and Hellfire bitters ($21), is 10/10. This drink is a bit spicy and you get the smoky notes from the mezcal.

The 50/50, made with Monkey 47 gin, Dolin dry vermouth, and cocktail onions ($22), is another 10/10. Definitely the strongest drink out of the ones we had. A classic drink that is done well. There is also a subtle herbal sweetness in this drink.

A great spot to grab a drink with friends or go on a date!

The Campbell Bar
2023/6/9 Edited to

... Read moreBeyond just sipping on incredible cocktails, what truly makes The Campbell an unforgettable experience is its breathtaking interior. Walking in, I immediately felt transported back in time. The article mentions 'historic architecture,' but it's more than just that – it's an immersion. The 'grand interior' truly lives up to its name, with those 'high, ornate ceilings' drawing your eyes upwards, telling stories of a bygone era. I particularly loved how the 'brick walls' and 'arched windows' frame the space, giving it a cozy yet expansive feel. And that 'large fireplace' isn't just for show; it adds such a warm, inviting glow, especially on a chilly NYC evening. The way the 'two cocktails' in the images are often 'illuminated by candlelight' perfectly captures the intimate and sophisticated mood. It's easy to see why so many search for 'the campbell grand central interior' or 'the campbell cocktail bar grand central' specifically for its look. It’s not just a bar; it feels like a hidden gem, almost a 'grand central speakeasy,' despite its prominent location. The way they've 'retained the historic architecture while introducing contemporary design elements' is masterful. You get the old-world charm with modern comforts. Finding a spot like this right within Grand Central Terminal is quite special. You step off a bustling train, and suddenly you're in an oasis of calm and sophistication, leaving the city's hustle behind. For anyone planning a visit, definitely take a moment to soak it all in. The atmosphere created by the lighting, often 'illuminated by candlelight' as the OCR notes, truly enhances the sophisticated vibe. Whether you’re looking for 'bars near grand central terminal nyc' for a quick drink after work or a longer evening out, The Campbell fits the bill perfectly. The 'classy ambiance and live music' mentioned in the article really elevate the experience, turning a simple drink into an event. It makes for an ideal 'date' spot or a sophisticated gathering with 'friends.' I'd also recommend exploring the different areas within The Campbell if you have the chance. There's the main bar, of course, with its impressive scale, but also the more intimate Palm Court and the outdoor Terrace, each offering a slightly different perspective of this historic landmark. Each space feels distinct yet cohesive, all contributing to the overall sense of timeless elegance. It’s truly a testament to NYC's ability to blend history with modern luxury. Standing there, sipping on a meticulously crafted drink like the Peachy Keen or the strong yet smooth 50/50, you can't help but feel a part of New York's rich past. If you're a fan of elegant settings and expertly mixed drinks, then adding 'The Campbell NYC' to your must-visit list is an absolute must. It's a prime example of a 'cocktail lounge' that delivers on both substance and unparalleled style, making every visit a memorable occasion right at '15 Vanderbilt Ave, New York, NY 10017'.
