iPhone 15 Pro Max Camera Settings! You Need This!

Ok ok ok, I’m excited!! 😆 can you tell?

After spending and arm & a leg 😂😂 as a creator I feel like the upgrade was sooooo worth it!!!

The 15 pro max camera features are incredible and if you’re a vlogger or a beginner this in my opinion would be my pick!

Now DO leave the raw option off if you don’t plan on doing any color grading because it makes the video flat! But the fact that it can shoot in what some professional cameras use is crazy!

I’ve only had the iPhone 15 pro max for a few days so I’m still trying out features and tips & tricks, If your interested in learning more make sure to follow me here and ig as I’ll be sharing them as I learn! I will be uploading an in depth review on my YouTube channel after 2 weeks hands on! (Average consumer use cases)

Don’t forget to follow for more tips!

... Read moreOkay, so you've got your hands on the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! When I first got mine, I was super excited but also a little overwhelmed by all the options. After playing around for a bit, I’ve found some settings that really make a difference, especially if you're into vlogging or just want to capture those everyday moments with professional quality. First up, let’s talk about video – because this phone excels here. If you want that buttery smooth, high-quality look, you absolutely need to adjust your record settings. Head into your Settings, then Camera, and go to 'Record Video'. You'll see options like '4K at 24 fps' – this is my go-to for that film-like cinematic feel. It's fantastic for storytelling and gives your videos a really polished vibe. For faster action, you might bump it up to 4K at 60 fps, but 24 fps is magic. I also recommend checking out the 'Apple ProRes' option. It's a professional video codec that captures incredibly rich detail, perfect if you plan on doing any serious color grading or editing later. Just remember that ProRes files are much larger, so make sure you have enough storage! Speaking of professional features, the 'Cinematic Mode iPhone 15 Pro Max' is truly amazing. It lets you record videos with a shallow depth of field, automatically shifting focus between subjects, just like in movies. To use it, simply open your camera app, swipe over to Cinematic mode, and tap on different subjects to change the focus. You can even adjust the depth effect after you've shot the video in the Photos app. I love using it for close-ups or when I want to make a subject really pop against a blurred background. It's super intuitive, even for beginners, and the results are stunning. Now for photos, understanding your camera formats is key. In Camera Settings, under 'Formats', you’ll find options like 'High Efficiency' and 'Most Compatible'. High Efficiency (HEIF/HEVC) saves space, which is great, but sometimes 'Most Compatible' (JPEG/H.264) is better if you're sharing with older devices or certain editing software. The real gem here is 'ProRAW & Resolution Control'. By enabling this, you can shoot photos at up to 'HEIF Max' for 48 MP images. This captures so much more data than a standard JPEG, giving you incredible flexibility when editing. I've noticed a huge difference in how much detail I can recover from shadows or highlights when I shoot in ProRAW. It allows for much more dynamic and professional-looking photographs. Plus, the 24 MP Photo Mode is a sweet spot for everyday high-quality shots. Finally, a newer cool feature is 'Spatial Video for Apple Vision Pro'. While I don't have the Vision Pro yet, it's pretty neat that my iPhone 15 Pro Max is already capable of capturing these immersive 3D videos. It's a glimpse into the future of content creation, and it's exciting to know the capability is right there in my pocket. Experimenting with these settings has completely transformed my mobile photography and videography. Don't be afraid to dive into the settings menu and try out different combinations. Each feature is designed to elevate your content, whether you're a seasoned creator or just starting out. Happy shooting!
