I had to come back with a Part 2! New Orleans has the best food I’ve had in the U.S … so far 👀 I heard Mississippi has some good food too. BUT this is about New Orleans.
Slide 2: Cafe Beignet, Bourbon Street
I’ve tried a few beignets out there and these were probably the best ones I’ve had. These were Kristy on the outside and sooooo soft on the inside! They topped it off with a drizzle and pralines! And they were BIG! OMG whoever thought of that needs their *** *** IMMEDIATELY 🗣️
Slide 3 - 5 : Sweet Handkraft
Red Velvet Croissant Cookie , Snow cheese Korean corn dog, Spam Musibi & Honey , Garlic popcorn chicken
The croissant cookie perfectly combined the flakiness of a croissant 🥐 and softness of a 🍪 . It was delicious and the perfect dessert for my meal. The corn dog was great too. The cheese was perfectly melted and the snow cheese that was sprinkled on top added the perfect flavor. My only complaint with the chicken was that I didn’t buy two. It would have been amazing on top of some rice.
Slide 6: Nice Guys Nola Chargrilled oysters 🦪
This right here almost made me want to go to the kitchen , grab the chef and kiss him my damn self! Never in my life have I had oysters that tasted like this. Honestly, this called me to the point where I can’t get oysters from anywhere else because I know we won’t be the same. 😢 That sauce is something special!
Slide 7: Ruby Slipper Crawfish & Grits Egg Benedict
The crawfish 🦞 sauce , listen this crawfish sauce they be making out there just takes the dish from 10/10 to 10000 / 10! It was my first time having a grit cake and it was okay alone but everything together was perfect.
Slide 8: New Orleans Food & Spirits: Voodoo Egg Rolls
I saw this place highly recommended over on TikTok and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you then people did not lie. These voodoo eggrolls were so damn good. I did not want them to finish. Of course there was crawfish cheese and other goodness in the middle . I’m pretty sure I sat at that bar and close my eyes with every bite 😍
Slide 9: Morrow's : Red Snapper , Shrimp & Grits w/ a cream sauce!
I normally don’t get fish when I go out but something just told me to try it. And I do not regret my decision at all. This is really good. It was really tasty had so much flavor and it was definitely filling.
